Beta Patch Notes e1.5.10

Solid patch.

Diggin the intro video, nice addition there.

A little sad about the foot speed nerf, but it is what it is.

The new war log is very nice.

In case anyone was wondering how to access the war log in the kingdom tab, took me a bit to find. Click either the bars for the usual graph or the hourglass for the combat log.

The war strategy is definitely interesting.

The new party behavior customization is great as well.

This just leaves me wishing, as king, that I could provide this kind of direction for existing armies.

Sweet! Hope they keep adding more stuff like this.

@AVRC it is good to see you guys are improving the AI, but it looks like archers are again pretty damn OP and delete infantry in shield wall with easy.

Archers were the strongest unit in 1.5.9 but somehow reasonable, but now in 1.5.10 they are broken again (talking about SP).

Anyway, nice patch overall.

maybe after they'll do armor changes this will be fixed, would be great to see that

I hope so. Currently is it not fun to set the game in the highest difficulty, and still being able to win every battle with 0 effort because archers are killing everything from distance. Not fun at all.

Also , can you guys remove these 3 days waiting in "rival gang moving in town" , I bet nobody does this quest because these 3 days waiting.
Also , if rival gang leader dies in battle, the quest fails.
I bet nobody does "escort merchant caravan" either, such useless quest.

The only new helmet should be the vlandian one.
Yes, Haven't found it yet. Do you need to start a new campaign for the new armour pieces to spawn? or is because it's a high tier item and needs time before it spawn?

Edit- Finally came across one, took a while for it to spawn.

-Improved the battle movement speed progression concerning the athletics skill. Reduced the movement speed increase effects of all perks.

TW nerfed Form Fitting Armor from 30% armor weight reduction down to 15%. Why? Why would you do this?!
Players gave feedback that you just zoom on the battlefield with so much speed increase and it was unimmersive. So they improved that. 30% was huge. The way I see it -> heavier armor => slower/more stamina drain in pretty much any game, and it makes sense to be like that. It's a tradeoff of mobility for more protection, so it's lovely that light armor gives some more pronounced advantages as well now (more mobility but less protection, so we can choose the kind of armors that are both most aesthetically pleasing to us and fit our gameplay/character more instead of the flawed -> better armor values = is better no matter the context). Good to see change in my eyes, for both immersion and gameplay.

The heavier problem imo was that athletics leveled very slowly, not that you couldn't zoom on the battlefield I'd say. So the best approach for me is to keep this difference between heavy and light armor, so you're not travelling at the speed of sound on the battlefield WITH heavy armor, AND make athletics an enjoyable skill to level so that at the later levels the movement speed buff is still significant enough. With removing the reduced exp after level-ups, it should already be at least slightly easier to level athletics up which would compensate for this change because you will reach the later skills faster = thus you still get significant movement speed later on, just not so quickly from the beginning and hopefully even at the end you won't turn into sonic the hedgehog. I like the change

Found something new (maybe not), I got one of those circular side notification with an artwork of man wearing a (red?) robe. Unfortunately I couldn't click it as I saw it just after I clicked 'exit to main menu', I didn't save the game so I couldn't go back. Anyone know what that was?

Edit- It's the new ransom offer notification.

I am curious @Callum
Is TW happy with how many rebellions are happening all the time?
Is that what was intended for a rebellion to be happening all the time for the entire game?

@Dejan Any news to share on addressing the concerns of the modding community expressed in that open letter about a month ago? Was hoping to see something in this update
We'll have more to share on this topic closer to the release of the next Beta patch.

We've also uploaded the new intro video to our YouTube channel, feel free to check it out if you haven't already.

Not even remotely true. The idea of "Heavy Armor = Slow Man" has been debunked numerous times. Form fitting armor is practically a second skin and wouldn't stop a person from completing a sprint.

Well in real life you would get tired and you dont in this game. It has to be balanced somehow or why would you ever have light armor?
