Beta Patch Notes v1.2.0-v1.2.6

Users who are viewing this thread

I encountered an issue while crafting a polearm weapon with a sickle blade on commission. I couldn't click 'done' because there weren't enough characters.
I play with mods, but I doubt they have any influence on this.
1.Harmony
2.Banner Fix
3.MBFastDialogue
4.Eykonal's Banners - GoT
5.Take Both
6.Minor Faction Recruits
7.Enable Achievement

Try load the save without the mods. It often works. See if you can reproduce the crafting.

tested it, and you were right this time; the issue was resolved. It's strange that none of these mods should affect blacksmithing, but it turns out they do. Thanks.

I can see 3 in your list that can affect. Take both might cause a conflinct in smithing. And two banner mods. Polerarms can have banners, if one of the 3-4 parts is connected to such a polerarm it´s enough.

I genuinely think this is the end for taleworlds. Theyve left such a sour taste in the fans mouths, that if they ever try to make another game, their fanbase will not be there to fund their next decade long development.

Yeah, I certainly will never ever buy another product from them.

And me i have never had this much fun with a game since kknd i think. However i did also enjoy mtw2 and the nafftun units.
But this game has great potential.
Yeah the potential to bannerlord is unreal, but taleworlds haven't delivered. It angers me so much how good bannerlord could be if they put in the effort, they have the money due to how much of a success warband was so there is no excuse

TW have been advised that boys with consoles are their largest customer, that means BL will be pretty, simple and easy. That's ok but serious wargamers will need modders to give the game much deeper depth and a return to realism.

So I'm just testing Beta 1.2 and waiting for it's official release.

From my relatively brief testing, I was pleasantly surprised by the competency of the AI in combat.

I feel like despite improvements, melee cavalry still needs to be more accurate with their melee attacks.

Infantry is in generally a good place and they improved over the AI from the previous patches, though pikemen are still very weak & quite useless imo (I also didn't really see any changes to their AI compared to 1.1). I think pikes should just be longer overall, like at 300-350 length. Skirmish infantry is much better in 1.2, but I think that they should just walk backwards while skirmishing rather than turning their back to the enemy and walk until they pick another javelin and face the enemy again.

Archers & Xbows are still good & they benefitted greatly from formation targeting.

Horse archers are OP as always, though their banner carrier still commits suicide. Maybe Archer & Horse Archer banner carrier AI should be tweaked or maybe the way they carry banners could be changed.

I already know the answer but I have to ask, when is the ETA for console release?
When we stop playing and give up on this game. I think if we ignore them for a year they'll finally decide it was a bad idea to fix mp and sp at the same time. Mp is dead, as in archeologists are sifting sand to find relics, dead. No patch gonna fix it.
