Beta Patch Notes e1.4.0

Users who are viewing this thread

For the 3rd time, the patch notes don't say that issue is fixed. I've already explained why. Produce evidence that the issue of incorrect or outdated hero locations is claimed to be fixed, or stop complaining about it.
You´re right, it´s not fixed and they didn´t say they fixed it. I´ve misinterpreted the patch notes.

Guess will be fixed in 3 months. And after this they maybe fix the real issues.

But we got stuff like:

- Equipped item sets for the Poacher character were changed.

or

- Implemented new map event visuals system. Now map events (Raids, Sieges and Battles) will be shown on the UI compared to 3D icons on the map. This will improve the visibility of map events.

or

- Fixed mission camera still being updated when the player opens up the escape menu during hideout boss fight cinematic transition.

I guess this was also game breaking and anyone was waiting for:

- Added a new map notification for when the player receives a new settlement.

Biggest change for me:

- Changed the effects of some settlement projects.

This helps me a lot when I create my own kingdom. Still waiting for improved trees. This was huge patch when it comes down to the count of words!

are you guys crashing when creating new workshop at beta 1.4

Same issue here - tested in a few different cities (Phycaon, Lycaron), buying a workshop leads to an instant crash in 1.4.

A further issue - when I try to form a caravan, instead of giving me my 3 companion's names to pick from, it's selecting a single one and offering their name in triplicate. The issue is a DISPLAY problem only: the triplicate names actual map to the same companion ordering as in my Party screen, so I can still send the companion I want by selecting, e.g., second name for second companion in my Party list.

(This is all in a fresh playthrough on 1.4, of course)

Same for me, this is quality!

At least TW spares money for testers because they have paid testers like us (usually a company pays their testers). That´s a good and profitable concept.

Sell your unfinished product, do nothing and get profit. Maybe they spend their money for us in improved trees!

Even more profit if you depend on modders to fix your product! Big brain time!

To be honest, I would do the same if I would be a boss of a game company. Bannerlord got a lot of good reviews from German critics, so why change anything?

I would also feel ashamed a little bit, but the money I earned would cure this. As long as my company would release patches (doesn´t improve anything) my fanboys would love it also!

Still waiting for the next patch which improves the clouds/tree/gras. I mean their graphic devs did a great job and should continue, we all bought the product because of the aweseome graphics that Warband already offered. And in 3-5 days some dev will comment in some random thread that they are aware of those issues and the fanboys will love it.

I just hope they won´t lose all the modders who really try to make this game working, for free.

Thanks to all modders out there, who try to fix a broken game without any tools! THANKS! Maybe a good company will do a game like this, but without all those issues....8 years....

Going to play a better game now, like Mount and Blade Warband with mods of course, but even Vanilla is better than this mess.

If you want to hire a dev (like me, I´m not a dev) just release whatever update with a lot of text, just 3€.

Guys, are you really think that there are a lot of very skilled, talented or experienced game developers working in this company. I swear the god, almost all of their employers learning game development after they started working there. These are not my opinions, the founder of this company already have confessed that in some of the his interview. As a Turkish, i can easly say that i know most of the their employers profile and almost all of them spending their time on youtube videos to learn gameing. Most of the employers have zero knowhow. I bet, if m&b mod community can organise themselfs, probably this game only takes just a couple of year instead of ten years. And if you wanna know how professional they are, pls check that their open positions from their main websites. When you skim over some of the big or medium scaled video game companys website, you can see that very specficed open positions like enviroment designer, Ai specialist, physic engine specialist, UI designer or art designer. Please after read this, check that their open positions or position  They are only looking for a computer engineer. This is their professionalty unforcunutelly

As I expected, if they were proffesionals, we would have got a better game or updates. I expect them to run away soon.

They will provide useless "updates" (read = useless stuff) for like 2-3 months, then the game will release in a broken state and they "run" away.

I can´t be even mad, I enjoyed Warband that much. So just take my money.

I´m not mad at the "devs" just about that they announced (8 years ago) a product which could be a GOTY and that they don´t care at all. Give this concept a real game company and this game would be "gold". Now I just "wish" they haven´t released it...broken promises (see all the "dev" blogs from them)

This "game" is a tech demo, not more, but it earns money on Steam. They put more effort into improving the forum than the game.

For those who have problems trying to start a new playthrough for 1.4. First you'll have go to the betas and select "opt out of all beta programs" after the updating is done go to betas then select 1.4 it seems it work for me and it would be a good chance for others to test it

1.4.0 : It surely has been detected by the QA team but these kind of bushes are real walls !

I have to agree. Bannerlord is already such a great game

So the 15 one-handed perks, those are all working and everything? When will the rest of the perks receive the same treatment? Didn't see much about it in 1.3 notes either.

I have to ask: what are TW even doing? The biggest change in this patch was fixing a bug they created last patch.

I was asking about that yesterday Duh replied; "We will probably introduce them on a per skill basis over time".

i have read somewhere that there is an issue with the castles due to the castellan upgrade and it cause +70,80 milita per day and the castle have 6-900 garrison? Is it true or it just a very very rare bug?

Happening in my save, castles are up to 4k militia and still growing at 25-40 per day
