I kind of like Call of Duty's singleplayer though. Again, people hate CoD because of the multiplayer - I legit enjoyed the SP campaigns of the Modern Warfare games and never touched the MP.

I never found CoD's singleplayer all that impressive. May have had to do with the fact that I stopped after the first one. Felt like just about nothing happened without the player's direct input, and, if you tried to replay it later or had to try the same section multiple times, everything happened exactly the same way each time.

Enable cheats, enable noclip, and have a fun time looking around the map to see how things work and where spawn zones are. It's the most fun I had in Modern Warfare's campaign.

Yeah I never played through it more than once, there's no reason to. On the other hand I've played through HL2 several times.

I guess I liked CoD's singleplayer exactly because of its cinematic feel.
