Perisno Version 0.81 - The Main Thread (HF0.811 - March 11, 2017, 10:37:18 AM)

Users who are viewing this thread

Well I stumbled upon a bug that I already encountered in a previouse version but I can't seem to find the fix anymore.
It's about High Dragon Priestress Khivachis.
I got the quest after the escort to kill the Sektorian Scouts. Well I killed 4 out of 5 partys went to her she gave me some money and I closed to game.
When I reloaded to finish the quest I killed a party and talked to her.
All she says is: "Yes? Have you made progress?" And all I say is: "Not yet. Goodbye."
I know there was a work around but I really can't find it.

Edit: Wrong thread sorry.

Updated last HF and P/l patch.
Fixed Kingslayer quest, made "fief guardians" (Elintoran noble maidens etc.) spawn in every fief, not only in a faction's original fiefs; added Aroulo village scenes fixed by Syabr; extended the ability to give troops to lords by including lords from player's current faction whose relationship with player >=60; altered the "prisoner rescue" script (first, if you rescue soldiers from faction X while being at war with this faction but also having a culture of this faction in your kingdom, half of them will join you; second, if you rescue soldiers from a destroyed faction, relation condition will be passed automatically and only level condition will remain - Falcons are, naturally, an exception to this rule).

You fixed the Kingslayer quest?
I installed hotfix 15, but now the Kingslayer quest doesn't trigger anymore for me when I talk to Taragith.
Did I do something wrong?

Did you talk to him before about it?
I tested the changes on a save file where I never talked to Taragith before.

Is anyone else finding that the elves are bloody invincible. I just destroyed a 300+ strong Hakkon army with a force of 76 elven archers. Then again it was a village raid so no Hakkon cavalry and I was on a hill so I had a good vantage point. But still, 300+ Hakkonese taken down by a handful of archers.

Archers on a hill against infantry/cavalry was always an effective tactics (unless we're talking about VS or some other mods where shields are thick and archers are absolute trash).
Just as effective as trampling archers with cavalry in open field.
Go and challenge Hakkon there.

Also yesterday I took Forniron with lord Oroe.
~140 his Geldarin troops plus ~200 mine (a mix of Geldarin, Tolranian, Hakkon, Perisno, Freelancer, Merc etc. common troops) against ~600 or ~700 (damn, I already forgot, and pre-siege save is overwritten ) Elintoran soldiers in Forniron garrison. I used hit-and-run tactics (started an assault, killed ~80 enemy soldiers with heavy fire, then after my soldiers would start running out of ammo, retreated, then repeated the whole thing). In the end 82 of Oroe's and 159 of my soldiers survived.
Elintor doesn't seem OP to me at all, especially if one has a marshal force and not just one lord.

In first 0.8 conquest it was ~250-260 elite troops, only dwarves and custom mercs vs ~900 in Forniron... Iirc something like 70-80 units died... Double shieldwall + xbows as close as possible behind first line and some heavy 2h behind second + charging in right time = RIP pointy-ears.

And just then destroyed Onishi's 400+ strong Zann army with 120 elven archers. Poor bastards didn't even make it to my line, and when my archers finally ran out of arrows, the drew their massive two handed swords and started slaughtering them in close combat too.

Small quality of life update (HF15 and the patch).
1) Doubled/tripled relation gain for completing village and town quests.
2) Changed the way items appear in shops.
Old way - based on town's original faction only (with the exception of player's kingdom).
New way - ~50/50 original/current faction. In case of player's faction kingdom culture is considered to be current faction (if no culture - then it's Perisno faction).

Thank you for fixing the Kingslayer quest and all the other fixes.  Our whole family loves this mod.  Perisno and VC are our favorites.

Um ok, I found the piece that you were pointing out. It's exactly as it is written above. What am I supposed to do? I'm replacing the whole line with 0?

Thanks for all the hard work!

I just saw this and have to say congratulations!  I'm coming back to Warband to play this mod again.  It was already my favorite mod despite its flaws and I'm really excited for the revamp.

You guys are awesome.  This is amazing.

Added HF16, updated P/l patch.

HF16 - added troop/prisoner sorting by level before you see troop exchange screen after a victory, fixed (in theory) female lords sending love letters to ladies and vice versa, removed some quest NPCs from taverns/castles after their quests are finished, fixed bad code for "I want to give up a fief" option (before this, the fiefs you gave up would never get a new lord, at least as long as they don't switch a faction), fixed a bug with extra experience at game start, fixed some other minor bugs
Important: added mass prisoner taking. How it works: while viewing prisoner exchange screen after a battle, select any enemy prisoner (preferably the top one), hold LEFT CTRL, hold A and click "capture". It will add as many prisoners as you can have into your party, i.e. you will not need to select prisoner stacks one by one and click "capture" again and again.

This is a godsend!

Hey! I just wanted to say congratulations to the Perisno team! This mod always keeps me coming back, and there was no way I could resist this one.

Just a couple wonky bits I've run into though (apologies for adding to the pile); marriage, or perhaps just eloping seems to trigger without warning. Upon trying to ask whether "we had a future together" I was sent straight into a wedding! Also, in the character 'Notes' many of the daughters of the court are as old as, if not older than their mothers. Especially noticeable in Maccavia, Tolrania, and Hakkon. I tried to locate the 'Notes' file to just edit this minor detail myself but no luck.

Aside from that, I'm having an absolute blast with 0.8. Fantastic job!

What hotfix?
It was supposed to be fixed like 2 or 3 hotfixes ago.
At least I hope so...

Hopeless case.
Human female skins/meshes we use don't have "aged" textures. And there is no-one to make them.

Hotfix 15, with the client being at whatever update is currently on Steam as I've only started again quite recently. For context: the lass was from the Realm of the Falcons, I was factionless, I'd recited a poem beforehand, it would be eloping, and I haven't had a chance to try with anyone else yet to see if it's a recurring thing.

Ah, I was just looking to change the flavour text, is all. The visuals didn't bother me at all. It was just odd looking up a daughter, seeing her age be 35, and her mother's age 38. It's absolutely inconsequential in the grand scheme of things.

Steam is obsolete, as far as I know.
Like 2-3 hotfixes obsolete.
So if it's "updating" something in the background, it may in fact be downgrading your version.

I'll take a closer look at ladies when I get to the point of marriage in my game.
I'm currently courting the daughter of Eorl Padraigh.

Ahh, paper age.
Hmm. Weird.
I guess my aristocracy code needs yet another revision.

Ages are values placed in certain slot at the beginning of the game. They're hard to edit mid-game without module system.
