Patch Notes e1.0.2

Users who are viewing this thread

Why is it only crashing for you? I can play this game all day long, do whatever, and no crash at all, period.

I wish I knew, I sent several crash reports. I have a high-end PC as well so it can't be my specs. (i9-9900k, GTX 1080TI, 32GB of RAM). Windows is up to date, and I downloaded the dependencies that the devs have linked.

The game only crashed twice in 20 hours, but after around that time my save games started to get corrupted and reverting saves doesn't really fix the issue.

You said "let me play the game without crashing". To me, crashing twice in 20 hours in EA doesn't call for that statement, tbh. I have 18 hours now, no crashes.

You clearly misread my post and now are creating an argumentative fallacy. After 20 hours the game has crashed above 15+ times, and is in an unplayable state where my save game is corrupt and won't let me load in without it crashing. Then if I try to conquer a castle, it crashes almost every single time, and the time that it doesn't crash the save game corrupts so when you try to reload all your progress is lost to the crash.

How is crashing 15+ times within a 30 minute period not a "called for statement"?

Latest patch seems to have had the effect of my game's sound being neutered and crashing before I can even load up my savefiles, so that sure is nice...

This is simply good.
I never bothered with Camps because they felt too dangerous when you play on realistic settings.

Starving effect is halved for garrisons at fortifications.

I hope that will slow down the game.
So far it felt really quick.

Sorry, I misread your earlier post. If that's the case the alleged crash orgy lies before me still. I will go on and see if I get the same effects. Btw, do you have the game on an SSD? And do you have windows-managed or no memory file?

yea but 3 days and 2 hotfixs? paid $45 for a white screen
That's not how you debug an issue, spamming the forums with complaints; Have you tried a different computer ? Have you reinstalled your OS ? have you updated all video/sound drivers ? Have you tried checking what is in the logs ? Have you tried disabling components in your computer ? Have you tried the typical windows options (run as admin, run as winXP program,...)

If you post a issue, add this information and structure it in 1 post; this way people can help you much easier.

btw, I understand your frustration, I can play the game, but its by no means finished, and a week of 2 of these "hotpatches" and the game might actually look like a game. Also if you payed 45€ you can still buy warband and play that, since you didn't get the legacy discount. Or where you a pirate player ?

It's on an SSD and I'm on Windows Pro. But no need to worry, I've already reported the bug and I'm sure it'll be fixed within a couple of days. The game is great and I'm glad it was released early.

Same here. Played yesterday and just smiled when I had joined a lord in his army and he gave me commands what tactics to pursue in battle. So many details well done. Pretty sure they'll figure out the crashes.

The amount of detail on the castles are incredible, I remember getting rewarded my first fief and when I went to check out the courtyard I was amazed by how detailed it was. I legit got chills from it lol.

It would be awesome if TW could structure their patch notes better as in like :

--New Feature--
--Changes--
--Fixes--

That would be better to read than just mixing them all together. Thank you for the patches TW !

Defection amounts of clans decreased

So does this mean the snowballing of factions will stop now? Do we need to start a new game for this? I've noticed this is a major cause for factions to be wiped out - all the clans from one faction defect to another, so they lose fiefs and have less armies.

Another day. Another patch/hotfix and I still cannot play the game or even enter the main menu.

This is a joke. Why are you fixing other **** and not the most critical stuff that prevents many players from even starting the freaking game?

I have this crash to, when I want chat with lords in Valdia.

Come and join us in THIS topic.

We still didn't receive any dev attention but we just gotta keep trying.

They either gotta focus on fixing those critical, game breaking errors or clearly state they won't do that cause they'd rather balance the workshops for the 5th time. Anything is better than radio silence.
