Limping, bleed, dropping weapons and other fine suggestions

Users who are viewing this thread

Hello I Just got an email from TW saying they are relieved the mp community came to their senses and finally got sold on the realism features of the game. Of all the suggestions posted in this thread they seem to like tripping on rough terrain the most. Therefore It will be implemented not only for moving backwards but also for moving forward in which case it will be triggered after making 10 steps if camera is not pointed at at least 45 degrees towards the ground. In other words bannerlord will be the first game where looking what's under your feet is important.

Now let's all just lay back relax and enjoy comforting thoughts of bannerlord's development going according to what we want.

They should also add a mechanic of thirst and hunger, because let's be honest how can you fight for so long and not get hungry?

You should have to manage your calories and try to use them well when fighting. If you get below a certain calorie count you character faints. Adding something to manage your oxygen should also be nice, when fighting you should have to manage how much oxygen you inhale and exhale, you want your character to get in the right amount of oxygen.

/s for anyone taking this seriously.

I had a good laugh
What do u mean? These are good suggestions.

I want to be able to calculate my calories as to make my character lose or gain weight. I want to make good diet decisions in the game to influence my character for realism sake

We havent even touched on the most unrealistic part yet...How do we get to the battles? Teleport!? Nono...I demand the game is reconstructed, and change the warmup period into a 5 day MINIMUM march before we get to fight.Otherwise I'm done with this franchise forever.

Yes, we should be able to pick a diet beforehand, but since its medieval ages it should consist of very historical accurate food that soldiers used to eat. There should be a game beforehand where you hunt down a deer and are able to eat it with your fellow teammates in order to be fully realistic.

Great suggestion, i wish we could march in real time, as to enhance the experience !

Great suggestions, I agree with all of them. Furthermore we should consider that the horse damage is way to unrealistic atm. When getting hit by an armored horse at full speed you should have a 50% chance of instant death. Way more realistic!

Pure Genius!

Riot, please take notes. Changes like this would improve League so much! Very unrealistic game. Unpopular with everyone I know.

Right, all of the suggestions are really fine. (obviously being sarcastic too)

While we are at it, why not make people spend 5 Real Life days to get from the castle to the battlefield and then another 5 to get back from the battle. All in all should be 1 battle per 10 days. Ooh and we should also make battles less frequent because its not realistic. So how about 1 battle per month? Sounds good?

That’s about the time of the current queues so I think it would work really well !

I would like to make another suggestion:

Soldiers that get wounded and return with broken legs or so cannot return to the battlefield before 200 Real Life Days have passed. Otherwise of course it wouldnt be realistic

Hello, I see pretty much all of the mp community are silly gooses that really don't know what's best and fun for them.

Here are some suggestions that could advance combat and gameplay overall in the direction it's headed already:

  • Add limping - whenever character is hit in the leg make them do the limping animation and slow down their movement by 50% until death.
  • Add bleed - with each hit received a secret bleed stat increases and depending on it's value the character not only looses health over time but also deals less damage due to being weakened. Make vision blurred the more the longer the character has bled.
  • Add dropping weapons - whenever character gets hit in the arm if damage dealt is over 50% of hp make them drop their weapon on the ground. However don't give a clear indication that this has happened, so that skilled players can get on top by having superior awareness of whether their character is still attacking with their weapon or with bare fists.
  • Add getting knocked unconscious mechanic. When knocked down if health is below 15% make character fall unconscious and lay like that for 2 mins unless finished off by enemy or woken up by teammates with a dedicated "hey wake up" animation. This will open up a possibility to play a support role of going around the battlefield and checking corpses for pulse.
  • Add tripping over when backpedaling - whenever character is moving backward depending on the terrain make them trip over after certain amount of steps taken.
  • Make lances break on landing a hit, in fact make all weapons break after enough uses.
  • When hit in the head if damage is over 30% make vision extremely blurred, if over 60% make character fall unconscious.
  • When horse gets hit over 50% hp make it panic and run into random direction and/or make the rider fall off it.
Make bannerlord even more bannerlord.

Edit: one more glorious suggestion:

  • Add Untrained trait to the cheapest classes. This is basically an extension of already implemented block/swing delay. Untrained trait makes all actions have an extra delay not tied to the speed of animations but the fact that the character is untrained and is not good at obeying commands given by the player. Unlike existing delays these should apply to all actions like starting/stopping movement, picking up items, jumping etc. Additionally for each 5 commands executed successfully (although with the delay), make the 6th command have the opposite effect, for example: a swing in opposite direction, movement in opposite direction, instead of picking up an arrow dropping the remaining ones, etc. This mechanic will be a neat way to provide more levers in balancing the classes by building up on things already in the game while also making the gameplay more interesting.

I think I got your sarcasm....

It's sarcasm, right? I'm a bit confused ?
