Limping, bleed, dropping weapons and other fine suggestions

How about this: when your character sees a lot of enemies (let's say 2), they get scared and their palms get sweaty. Perhaps their knees get weak, too (movement speed penalty). Anyway, because of this sweaty grip, they'd have a small percentage chance of dropping their weapon in battle. Moreover, while they may look calm and ready on the surface, their arms could be heavy from the anxiety of confronting a numerically superior enemy. This would make their swings slower and reduce their effectiveness in a fight, balancing the game.

If this seems like too much work, maybe just add a fainting mechanic. I envision it as something like this: your soldier sees an intimidating enemy, faints, and takes a random amount of damage to the head from the fall. This would also add more viability to the corpse checker playstyle, which I see as a win.

I know it's probably a joke but I could see a few of these being fun features in some SP mods. Obviously would be a terrible addition to multiplayer native tho

They should add Stamina. Basicly, based on the weight of your character, after fighting for a while, you would run out of stamina and your character stops being abble to lift either his weapon or shield. For example, when you play Legionary, after swinging 10 times, your character would stop being abble to swing. It would be very realistic, because in the medieval time, people were way underfed, therefore didnt have the proper energy to be abble to sustain lifting heavy weight weapons for more than 10 mins.

Hey, actually I was thinking about this as well, but remember, TW wants to make a next R6S out of bannerlord so nothing can be random. Now in my version of this feature I thought about a Panic Fear meter that increases each time your character witnesses death of a teammate and decreases when seeing enemies die. At certain value of said meter the character gets paralysed with fear and stops reacting to user input at all for a certain amount of time after which the Panic Fear meter resets. Essentially this will produce similar frustration to when you have to watch helplessly as your character gets up after being knocked down by a horse or recovers from jumping off a significant height. I mean, only filthy old warband veterans would get frustrated ofc others would just embrace the realisms and interesting gameplays.

As long as I can re fill stamina with premium currency Im down for that

They should add rain to battles, so you have a random chance of slipping and falling over on the wet ground during fights. You'd lose morale when it happens due to embarrassment.

Add different temperatures to the game too, which have varying effects on your character's movement. Your attack animations might become randomly shivery and/or stiffer when you're in cold weather. A "warmer clothing" perk could be selected for some troops, but it will add more weight, be at the cost of having a shield, and the scratchiness of the clothing will mean your character will randomly stop fighting to scratch himself every now and then.

Also, maybe you could make it so the sun gets in your eyes at random moments? And random dust clouds could get in your eyes too, making it impossible to see for five seconds. And you should always be able to see your character blinking randomly while in first person, making the screen blank for a split second each time. Preparing a shot from your bow will withhold the blinking, but only for about five seconds, after which your character will need to blink furiously to re-moisten the eyes.

Why has no one brought up the need to eat/****/sleep yet? You can pay with premium currency to fill those crucial bars full instantly!

I only want one thing; a one in three chance to catch a chronic disease which either kills you outright or makes you wish you where dead.

Can we have a feature where, on desert maps, your enemy can throw sand in your eyes? This would allow you to blind your enemy from a distance, and I think it would add some meaningful choices to the combat.

These might be cool options for a "realistic mode" modded custom server but I don't think these should be implemented in the main game.

The suggestions would add interesting gameplay and meaningful choices. I don't understand why you wouldn't want them on the native module.

If you fall from a height of more than two meters, there should be a random chance of getting a sprained ankle, and then your character will have to limp around on crutches for the rest of the battle, unless you selected the "first aid" perk. Falling onto harder surfaces like wood will increase the chances of getting a sprained ankle.

To add to the stances animations, the character should lean forwards or backwards when you press the W and S keys, but if you hold them down for too long, there will be a random chance your character will lean too far and fall to the ground.

People don't want Bannerlord to be Warband 2.0. These exciting features should be included in every game mode.

I’m thinking more of a “ptsd” ability in which your character, if having a family history of schizophrenia, will have a small chance of unlocking a perma ptsd stat which makes fighting impossible and makes you run away from any battle you go into

And if your weapon hits a wooden surface theres a 5% chance of splinters flying off and causing a status effect depending on where on the hitbox it connects to.
I dont get why people dont support these ideas, its obvious the game was made to be a 1:1 realistic simulation of medieval combat.

Well then you also have to take heart disease into effect, to keep the balance between mental and physical damage.

Why stop at heart disease? Food poisoning, gangrene, chronic ibs.... so many great ways to make this game move away from being arcadey

Can we include an ill-fitting clothes feature? Realistically, if the class system makes everyone wear the same uniform, some people will be disadvantaged. If your character starts with this modifier, then I suggest they receive .5 "chafing damage" per step they take. This would go a long way towards depicting the reality of mass-produced clothes sometimes being uncomfortable.

Perfect idea. I like the idea of taller characters having less mobility because their pants are hugging a their crotch. Same with thicc boys
