I registered on the French forums, found the message explaining this thing, and translated it. Here it is in a nutshell:

4th of July release date was a mistake on their part.

Development is still going, but has slowed down, they could have fastened the development by accepting publishers, they have turned everyone down, and thus their game is taking so damn long to make.

If anyone is not pleased with the way things are going, and wants to get the money they donated back, they need to send them their PayPal transaction thingamabobs and so on, basically they are ready to refund if necessary.

And now to the part which anyone really cares about.

July-August: we will finally give you a nice FAQ and new gameplay videos.

Phase 1 Alpha-Version: followed by some versions. It will be accessible to all who have pre-ordered and well-obviously we will seek to participate in debugging. We expect the end of August.

Beta-Phase 2 Revision: October theoretically for the same for several alpha versions.

Phase3 Version Final: The final version by the end of the year.

It's still ****ty customer service. They have both french and international forums
And they should know that they have a good chunk of customers other than French.
Yet they almost never release any news or info on the international forums and website.
So as far as we're concerned, the last update infact was in February.
