Horses are a case in point. They are produced in certain villages so there is a steady supply being created each day. These are then purchased (or sometimes looted) by passing armies or carried to town markets to change hands. Horses are also regularly removed from the game when cavalry troops eventually die or desperate parties slaughter them for food.</p></br> [/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/99

So please do not pardon or ignore these sentiments. Perhaps these feelings are completely exclusive to me and no other potential players, but that would come as a surprise.
We know that quite a lot of people are frustrated by the lack of a release date, and honestly, all we can do at this point is apologies for getting your hopes up in the past, and crack on and finish the game.
I disagree that apologizing is all you can do. You can be more engaging and interactive. You can release limited game play videos every now and then with interesting commentary. You can do brief 5-6 minute interviews with some staff talking about cool features. You can do blogs on any of the following topics listed and discussed in this thread: https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,380443.0.html
You can do a studio tour
You can do a live twitch events with the boss
You can be doing so much more in my opinion.

Cracking on with the game goes without saying of course. But any of these would help boost morale and keep us engaged while we power through this period. I'm not really annoyed with you specifically btw. It's the organization as a whole. I know it can't be easy and you do the best with what you have.

Alright my *****ing is over. I'm going back to bed.

Mate, I understand you in part. Taleworlds also don't have to be whipping about release; there are a lot of people (the sensible part of the community) who understand that Bannerlord will be released when it's ready, not before. This is understandable and totally respectable and even more so in times where garbage products abound, unfinished and need numerous patches to make them work as they should.
Now, what a lot of people don't understand, is the hermeticism with which you get involved when it comes to sharing information. When it comes to the truth, where you won't have to disappoint is when it comes to confronting the consumer by giving this one an excellent product; the best you can create.

There have been surrealistic moments in which you commented us in the own blogs...no...now we can't comment you this...**** tell us something else that really you can comment. The thing about...is that we don't want to ruin the player's experience...that excuse (because it is and it sounds like an excuse) is no longer useful because everyone understands it that way. There have been blogs that provided absolutely no information and gave the feeling that you were mocking (I know you were not, however it seemed) and this way it is normal for people to take out the torches and pitchforks.

It's a personal feeling, I think your main goal apart from launching the game is that it serves as a fresh wash of face for your company, you may get it but do not expect people to overlook all these years of hermeticism and lack of honest and transparent communication and just forget ...
I speak for myself when I say that I would rather receive brutal honesty than be deceived in a vile way. I prefer you to tell me...for this, this, and this, and this, is yet to be finished. Honestly.

Obviously it is necessary to have an internal regime where the company's policy is established without anything or anyone disturbing it, but you can not expect the consumer to have to cover his eyes for so long, putting the carrot within reach of his mouth and tell them to go in straight line without hitting any blow ...

Taleworlds, you have an admirable product and that is undeniable, but you do not realize your most valuable asset. The Community.

Well, thanks for taking the time to reply to my post, and others. Frankly, I don't really want or care for an apology from you, as you've never done anything wrong, and work miracles with what little information they give you. I understand that as the community manager you effectively speak for TW but it can hard to escape the mindset of "TW bad, Callum good" when it's painfully clear how opaque TW in spite of your efforts.

There are more official modding tools for the newer total war games than for Warband or even Minecraft. They have better modding support than most titles released today, but the lack of mods is part of a wider problem with how games are too complex for a handful of people to do overhauls for in their spare time.

This 1000x over. Get comfortable with PoP and TLD, it's probably the best we'll ever get. The golden age of modding is over.

And this is one of the reasons even the "bad blogs" are interesting: they provide some insight into the complexities of that stuff. Unfortunately, yes, games are far too complex for one-man-moddings nowadays. Any modder-to-be following TW devblogs has a somewhat realistic view on how the situation will be for modding Bannerlord. And just like Paradox, it's awesome TW is providing so much support and insight for modders/future modders, especially since this game will be far more complex for simple weekend modders to mod, as BIGGER Kentucky James XXL has stated more than once over the course of devblogs. Then again, will it suffice?
