Well what would you say if all of your vassals rose up against you because you decided not to adhere to the rules?

"Alright everybody, I'm very proud, this was a great revolution. But, you know, you can't really have a revolution without, uh, someone to, uh, revolt against, so great job to me too. Well, uh, let's get back to work everyone"

Lol okay Orm.

No time to read the entire thread now, maybe later in the week, but by Saint Jove's beard! You know TaleWorlds made a spectacular blog when the first few pages of its thread are full of single-line posts with "good blog!" "awesome blog" and "that's what I wanted!". Seriously, this one was incredible, blew my expectations away with the army screen and, oh boy, that hype is really crawling up on me once more...

This is some serious medieval ruling!

Not bad, I like the idea , the heir system should be next, as these are the few game changers in bannerlord , also those complaining about multiple playstyles, the difficulty slider should give you multiple play styles, I tend to crank it up to max so every fief I get and every battle I win feels earned as well as it lengthens the campaign time more than twice the normal .

will TW ad crown item ? a king is not complete without a crown afterall, make it as the casual outfit or something, even better if we can design it like the weapon maker.

What about the three empire factions? Will each of their leaders wear a laurel wreath crown? Presumably, they each claim to be the Emperor’s only legitimate successor.

It's shared throughout the week. Garios has it Mon-Tues, Lucon Weds-Thurs and Rhagaea Fri-Sat. It's cleaned and polished on Sunday.

Anyway, yet again surprised at the depth of some of these features. Wasn't really expecting it, but then again these days I expect tacked-on features at best that require constant DLC to make interesting.

Loving this!

I`m especially excited about the policies tab, I imagine it gives modders ample opportunities to craft political systems that aren`t really medieval. Hopefully we`ll get more detailed explanations before long. For example, would the Scutage tax mean that nobles are no longer required to send troops at all for the king`s army, as long as they pay a tax? Or is it just extra money for the king?

I was thinking about scutage tax, too (had to Google it to find out what it meant!). It's probably most likely to be a tax in addition to military obligations, or else it wouldn't be much of an advantage to the king. But if it has to be passed by a majority vote of vassals to come into force, why on earth would any vassals agree to introduce the policy in the first place? The only explanation I can think of is that it's a tax only on fief-owning vassals; that way, the clans that don't own fiefs might support it as a means of lessening their financial disadvantage against the landed clans?

I would imagine that if you wanted a strong centralized military, having a tax like this would reduce the military potential of rival houses within the faction while reducing the cost to the player of keeping up the grand army.

Thanks for this post it was amazing to see theres going to be serious deep stuff, cant wait but the time you taking seems to give fruits

Yeah you can just guess it at this point, most of the things they've shown are almost at the finishing stages. Once some people finished their work they can continue in other departments and make things faster I guess. 2019 is the year to go (or early 2020)

The insiders at TW are saying it will be 2020 or early 2021. So you're close.
