I am the sole lord in the castle or in the city but I can not choose which defensive siege engines to be build. I cant choose even that castle or city is mine. I really think that's not a hard code to add. If the player is the sole lord in the castle/city player choose what to build. If the castle/city belongs to the player and the player is in the siege defence player will chose what to build. Please add.

Yeah this is really annoying. You're defending a settlement you own but can't stop the AI from building only ballistae which are all getting immediately destroyed. You have no catapults during the battle so can't destroy siege towers or rams and end up losing a battle you could have won.
I just figured that the type of siege engine was dictated by the fief's wall level. Isn't that how it works?

Really? I've never noticed that. As a besieger I've definitely seen the AI build both ballistae and catapults on every wall level though.
It was just an assumption on my part
