Greetings folks!
We're well aware that various events and tournaments contribute a great deal to our community. They've been embedded into the multiplayer side of our games since the start. We've implemented a calendar to our forums which gives further exposure to all kinds of community events, everything from in-game tournaments to off-topic forum games and modding contests.
This thread is the perfect place to let us know of your event so that we can feature it on the calendar. Simply reply to this post with the template provided below. We've also outlined a few requirements that are listed below. Requesting your tournament to be scheduled on the community calendar is also your expression of willingness to see the event completed. Failure to come through with the event (after it being included on the calendar) will slim your chances to have your next events featured on the calendar.
Requirements
General information:
- The calendar entry has the same name as the forum thread it links to. As such, keep the forum thread name short and concise.
- Events that tolerate racism, derogatory remarks or any other discrimination have no place on the community calendar.
In-game Tournament:
- Have a forum thread(s) outlining all the important information about the tournament (rules, regulations, time schedule,...)
- Have a sign-up forum thread for the tournament
- Completed at least one in-game tournament organization in the past (showcased via our forum)
In-game Events:
- Have a forum thread outlining all the important information about the event(rules, regulations, date & time of the event,...)
- Completed at least one in-game event organization in the past (showcased via our forum)
Other Events:
- Decided on a case-by-case basis.

Q&A
What do you put on the calendar for tournaments?
First of all, we want to encourage as many people as possible to participate in your tournament and will as such feature the sign-up thread. Once participants enter the tournament they are already in the loop and will be made aware of the tournament time schedule. We can then also feature the semi-finals and finals of the tournament in case they're streamed live to the public.
What do you put on the calendar for events?
If your event has a sign-up thread we can feature that, otherwise, we'll feature the main event.
What if I am hosting weekly events?
We can feature well-organized weekly events on the calendar. Please note that we will only add one weekday to the calendar if you're hosting the same event more than once per week. After every event, a summary needs to be posted on our forum though so that we can acknowledge that the event is still happening and is successful. Please apply for each week or drop me a PM.
Where can I see the calendar?
You can access it here or by clicking on "Community Events" in the right sidebar.
Please note that we reserve the right to decline your request to feature the event if we deem it unsuitable for the community calendar.
