Building pc for Bannerlord

Users who are viewing this thread

If you're gonna build a new pc, 8x2 (16)gb 3000mhz rams would be enough for the next 5 years for sure. If you're not Nvidia fan I suggest you to get 580 Gpu since it's the one of the best price/performance gpu so far. When it comes to Cpu, Ryzen 5 3600 would be cool but since I have no clue about your budget, I can assure say that even ryzen 5 2600/x is good enough for gaming.
i can go with the 3600 and i am a very big fan of NVidia, never had anything but intel and NVidia, this is the first time i'm going for amd because of budget but gpu wise i would never go with anything other then nvidia, anyway my prob is not the change from the 3400G to the 3600, the prob is if i do get 3600 that means i need another $400+ and more for a gpu as well, which means another month or 2 of saving up money.

Where are you from and what's your budget btw? 3600 is actually the best one in term of price/performance nowadays, yet if you're not willing to wait for 2 months for saving some money, you can just get 2600(or X) and increase the budget for better Gpu.

I think it's not but it all depends on your expectations, you know. Basically the difference between these 2 cpu's are while 3600 has 3.6hz and can be increased to 4.2, 3600x has 3.8 and can be increased to 4.4hz by overclocking.

from the u.s. and my budget was $100-$150 per item but i can spare the extra for the cpu to get the 3600, i'm basically just buying 1 item every 2 weeks since i have issues saving up the money, so i don't really put money on the side, i just spend per item with each paycheck otherwise that money goes in the casino. Well I think the best you can do is waiting since the game is not even released yet. Just to let you know, the most valuable part of a pc is generally the gpus, so you're probably gonna regret in the end if you end up buying everything right now.

well I wish you the best luck man. I'm not sure how it goes in U.S but I feel like there might be some markets going for discounts on tech stuff just like in my country. You better check out for them on internet.

might not be an option but definitely worth checking out 0% interest financing for 6-12 months loans from newegg. amazon might have similar financing too if im not mistaken. if you can do like $200-$300 a month in payments should be able to afford a decent $1200-$1600 rig easily

9600k is a lot better, its intel and only costs 20$ more unless you purchased the motherboard already i would go with that. Personally i wouldn’t trust amd to run mario bros

An AMD CPU is a significant better choice for performance/price, and considering how bannerlord is optimized for multi-threading an AMD CPU is the better choice.

The 9600k only has 6 cores 6 threads opposed to a rzyen 3 3600 which is lower priced and has a slightly lower clock speed but has 6 cores and 12 threads.

AMD has great hardware, i don't know what intel fanbois have against it.

i think you meant to say ryzen 5 3600?

and btw, the build does need to be able to stream and record as well, i'm going to be using 2 screens
You might even be better off with a 2700x if that's the case. Should be around the same price as a 3600 but has two extra physical cores and a better bundled cooler. Bear in mind that with a 3600 you'd be taking a slightly weaker CPU than Taleworlds suggests (their recommended AMD CPU is a 3600x) and then asking it to do extra stuff as well.

In your position I'd try to be patient and wait for tests once the game is in EA.
