For all Kastor-haters: he's getting shut down in my game. I was sworn to the Vaegirs, at war with all four factions, and I decided to try to find the Bastard and support him instead. But you can't enter enemy castles, so of course I failed. Learned something though.
At this point I had no choice but to support a claimant that could be found in a Vaegir town, and I landed with Kastor.

We are being utterly crushed. The rebellion has no chance of success at all. I have four armies against me, and lords I turned are getting insubordinate. I suppose the Vaegirs will declare war on us soon.

Software is never finished. It is alive or dead.

Since we don't have this flexibility, I get the best result from "Everyone, hold this position" at the very top of the ramp. If they are densely packed enough, no-one will get through.

Assessing trade prices makes you leave town. This is a problem when you are inside an enemy town, and suddenly find yourself outside. Perhaps the sneak inside requirement should be lapsed for one hour after assessment? Or return to the town menu after assessment rather than the world map?

I've done this twice now by accident by clicking "assess" instead of "arms merchant". Both times I got crushed trying to sneak in again.

I sure wish it would rain more often. But I'm kind of glad that the fog is a rare thing, because it's dangerous.

Equal rewards for equal effort is an ideal for fairness, but success is measured by obstacles overcome. An unbalanced tax system discourages great achievement.
While many have inherited wealth, a relatively greater number worked hard throughout their life to get there.

While we can certainly disagree about when life begins, most of us have the guts to state our position. I can't abide a politician who considers such decisions above their pay grade.

I see only fear OR gun ownership. They are rarely concurrent in the same person. Crime is discouraged when everyone is well-armed. Crime is unfettered when only criminals have reasonable weapons.

While fossil fuels should not be considered the only source of energy, it is one of our natural resources, and a rather important industry in some regions.

And I'm not sure if you are accusing me of burying my head in the sand, but I constantly question everything. It's part of why I have trouble feeling at peace. I voted for McCain because I evaluated him to be the lesser of two evils - just like every political decision.

Regarding socialism, I can't fathom what is "great" about it, Fleshy. But I am likewise concerned when there is no balance.

I've wanted that for a long time. There are very few troops that I would hold back from upgrades, and I'd just as soon disband them anyway.

There is also a reset button to undo changes within the screen. Isn't there? Or is that just char screens?

Well, there's an upgrade button for each choice. So a <hotkey>-click on the desired button would make sense.

I have also suffered a stat loss as a result of surrender. I was furious, since I went peacefully and they beat the agility out of me anyway.
