I must say I like this idea. A lot of things are working and functional. From what I remember, the crafting system is kinda finished and working. World map is functional, but I am not entirely sure about the faction troops and it's items. In that way, the content we worked on so long can still be shared with fans who want to enjoy it.mtarini said:Mandible, I understand, but I am also very sorry to hear this.
You efforts have been heroic as they are. You did a really incredible job!
The skill and dedication you have shown is just amazing.
I hope that, at least, you will be able to reuse the many beautiful assets you have built so far in some other project (not necessarily by you, or by you alone).
In any case, it would be horrible if they got lost. So maybe follow AndrewAdamsthe1st advice above, or else distribute them in one package (as a set of props/static models/skinned models in standard formats) and sell it with turbosquid or with unity asset store package or whatever.
Still... when I think about this, I speculate that even an incomplete mod, a partial repaint of native M&B, where a subset of the content is crudely replaced by your characters/equipment/scenes, even just for the look, and the rest is unmodified as in native, would find many enthusiastic players even if it was inconsistent. But then, when I imagine the details of this plan, I get carried away until I get back to the rather unfeasible, complete-mod concept. Aaargh.
Mandible said:If this sees a release, I would love there to be a multiplayer game mode where you had to fight off ever-increasing hordes of vermin and protect the Abbey. Between regular waves, there could be special ones where you have to, for example, meet a group of riverhogs on the Moss and escort them safely back to the Abbey walls so that they can aid in the defense. Or travel to Brockhall to clear out a vermin infestation. Could be a fun time, without THAT much coding.
If anyone is interested in supporting this mission, let us know in the thread. WE are not dead, not yet.
