SP Fantasy [W] Redwall: Vermin Resurgence [Dead]

Hey,

Sad to see this go. It seems a great waste after all the effort you put in. My advice (for what little it is worth) would be to organize all you currently have into a set of folders, then release that as a downloadable file-pack (labeled as unfinished so people know what they are getting). Then, Somewhere down the road, maybe years down the road, at least it is out there for someone to pick up.

Mandible, I understand, but I am also very sorry to hear this.
You efforts have been heroic as they are. You did a really incredible job!
The skill and dedication you have shown is just amazing.

I hope that, at least, you will be able to reuse the many beautiful assets you have built so far in some other project (not necessarily by you, or by you alone).
In any case, it would be horrible if they got lost. So maybe follow AndrewAdamsthe1st advice above, or else distribute them in one package (as a set of props/static models/skinned models in standard formats) and sell it with turbosquid or with unity asset store package or whatever.

Still... when I think about this, I speculate that even an incomplete mod, a partial repaint of native M&B, where a subset of the content is crudely replaced by your characters/equipment/scenes, even just for the look, and the rest is unmodified as in native, would find many enthusiastic players even if it was inconsistent. But then, when I imagine the details of this plan, I get carried away until I get back to the rather unfeasible, complete-mod concept. Aaargh.

I must say I like this idea. A lot of things are working and functional. From what I remember, the crafting system is kinda finished and working. World map is functional, but I am not entirely sure about the faction troops and it's items. In that way, the content we worked on so long can still be shared with fans who want to enjoy it.

If this sees a release, I would love there to be a multiplayer game mode where you had to fight off ever-increasing hordes of vermin and protect the Abbey. Between regular waves, there could be special ones where you have to, for example, meet a group of riverhogs on the Moss and escort them safely back to the Abbey walls so that they can aid in the defense. Or travel to Brockhall to clear out a vermin infestation. Could be a fun time, without THAT much coding.

If anyone is interested in supporting this mission, let us know in the thread. WE are not dead, not yet.

Just came across this mod, and I immediately fell in love with all the gloriously-imaginative content I'm seeing.  This is something I did not expect to see here, and yet now I'd love nothing more than to play this.  Rodents and Warband -- among two of my favorite things coming together!!  :iamamoron:

Obviously I haven't been following along every page, but has anyone else come forward to help take on some of the development?  I know I'm reiterating many others' comments, but it's just such a shame to see all this beautiful content go unused.  I'm a solely single-player Warband guy, but I'd be happy to get any version of this someday.  Or heck, I'm sure the masses would love seeing these incredible assets in another established mod, if you were alright with it of course.

Wish you much luck, regardless of what you decide (or have decided) to do.

You should approach the Full Invasion 2 team maybe... perhaps they could help with how to code that?

Sad to see the SP part of it is being discarded, it looked so promising, there is so much potential.  I came today to pioneer's guild solely looking for this mod because I recalled of it while looking for something new to try out.

Anyways thank you for all the effort you put into it and hope the MP goes excellent.

Just to be clear, there are no actual plans for a multiplayer release... That was simply a theoretical way that the work COULD be brought to some sort of use. I am definitely not going to have time to work on it and I haven't heard from anyone who appears to be motivated enough to continue.

Sorry about that. Just managing expectations. Thanks for the interest! I really wish I could justify spending more time on this than I already have.

Woah!  There's a Redwall mod? If this ever releases, I'm in! However, if it won't release, I suggest you make it open source for other modders to work off of, and maybe one day make a full fleshed mod. Anyhow, I love the idea of this!

Eulalia! For Salamandastron!

Hey, someone came to check out the thread! I guess I'll post something...

It's still dead though...
