Begging my pardon to phoenix[illusion] for not having wait - as promised a month ago - for him to finish his research, pressed by the feeling that 1257 is walking towards the last phases of development, I hence present you the

I strictly based myself on the information provided in this topic, enhancing my research just a bit. I hope I did justice to XIII c. Serbia with the information provided.
Thank you all for having enlightened me this previously dark spot of history.
Yay, finally, our time came!
What a handsome bunch of angry bastards!
I like many historical details, like: the tear-shaped shield (warrior in lower-left), feathered helmets, cloth boots (like on the fescoes), and, of course, the bearded faces.
Now, there is one shaven warrior (btw, it was a custom in medieval Serbia to have long hair and beards), but, I imagine that he is a warrior from the seaside, where the Western culture had greater influence (incuding shaving), or he is simply a young warrior.
I would also have liked to see more of the lamellar armor (that the first horseman has), because it:
a) looks cooler than mail
b) is more prominent in Serbian medieval art (although, it might be because it is easier to paint than chainmail
)
Also, I like the faces of the warriors.
We have the experienced and calm noble (first horseman), and his youg squire.
Then there's the cocky and proud noble (middle horseman), whose horse is being lead by an experienced, brave warrior.
Above him, we see a sneaky bastard, who looks like he can't wait to loot the dead bodies after the battle.
And, of course, there's the ''loudmouth'' angry warrior, who is either taunting his enemy, or his fellow soldiers.
Great job, Fritz.
