Recruit
Hello,
This patch has implemented a number of good fixes in principle and although some of them aren't working as intended the intent is there to continue evolving positively and that's great to see, they'll get fixed up and things will look better because of them. Implementation is one issue, but design and intent are another.
On the intent side, there's still the problem of the game not respecting my agency as a leader and grabbing my units from my commanders' armies at its discretion to toss into garrisons of newly taken territory. Please allow players to choose the units they're willing to donate. I would be willing to send a follower to pick up new recruits, to earmark units for them to pick up, to provide a financial contribution in lieu of men, to leave injured men as placeholders, to leave a follower to train up levies to become professional troops, anything. Its so frustrating to watch all my Fian Champions become garrison troops when im on the other side of the continent.
There are a number of ways to fix this problem and they all involve letting me as the player control the faction i'm supposed to be in control of. Not being able to make decisions for myself really hurts the immersion and for me destroys the fun of creating my own faction from nothing.
Hoping to get constructive feedback about this. If you disagree, please explain why it needs to be involuntary?
Thank you.
