At the core lies the calculations and scripts which make the game operate and respond to the player’s input, but on the outer layer these operations need to be represented to the player in a way which makes sense and is easy to digest. that these trees are one

Aren't they? Gaia and all that

Now get us some paintings from the 6-10th century that focus on ancient forests from that part of the world. Then create a thread on tree discussion. That should be fun to watch

Regardless of trees (background scenario) this looks great (horse armor)

Great horses and four poster beds. Please have saddleless horses in town stables unlike warband.

I wish we can be able to steal horses from towns. So I can roleplay Borcha.

You contradict yourself. It comes from the fact that you can not see everything. You are not to blame for this, but this is a fact, since you think that these trees are one

I didn't claim those trees are same. I just googled "tree" and randomly take some tree photos that looks like the tree in the blog's ss. I am pretty sure that tree does exist somewhere around the earth, but trees i shared also looks similar to the tree in blog's pic.
Varrak, I know a person who distinguishes cars only in color. For this person, all cars are similar in appearance.
If you do not see the difference between trees - this is your problem. I have no desire to teach you what distinguishes trees. But believe me, all the trees are different and they do not look like children's drawings.

It's not a tree. So the children draw the trees.
Compare these pictures.

Why should i compare with that tree in the screenshot with those specific tree pictures? For me, that tree in the screenshot looks like this tree;

and this

Tree doesn't have to look like the tree you are used to see, since earth is big and there are lots of different trees.
Varrak, not everyone can see. I sympathize with.

I will explain. The tree in the screenshot and the tree in your photos are completely different. Look at the line of the trunk, on the branches - their shape, location, direction. Look at the foliage, etc.

I can't wait to smoke trees

Nice, it's heart-warming when a girl makes her own unicorns.

Would horses with the unicorn armor leave rainbow trails instead of dust clouds?

Joke or not, it does bring up an interesting possible feature for modding, a skin for vehicles that could provide smoke, or flames, or sparks, maybe lights work from this setting, but will have to see what is possible first just working thru ideas right now.

1) I didn't claim that those trees are same, i said the opposite.
2) "all the trees are different" was literally what i said.
3) You didn't even read my comment, yet you quoted and replied.

Please, first read my comment and try to understand what i wrote, then you may be able to reply if you find something you disagree with.

Cheers^^

Don't really like that tree so much either, but not because it doesn't look natural, which it does to me, but because the model seems a bit... low poly? Or maybe the textures don't match the quality of the terrain textures, or maybe both, or maybe it's just me or the angle this picture was taken from. Not sure.

Varrak, of course, I could not understand something or misunderstand something.
I read and write on this forum with an auto-translator. What the interpreter translated to me, then I understood.
Look at my signature
And the trees are still badly drawn. Dot.

Beautiful. I wonder how work the materials in Bannerlord. Probably more complex than the old diffuse-specular-normal/bump thing. Perhaps even something close to PBR workflow.

While I understand the need to post these filler blogs for the community to have something to discuss upon, may I suggest we take a break from the interviews and make blogs about the factions? Considering the game is neaaaarly ready and Yavuz said back in the summer that ''We're doing the finishing touches'' I believe factions should already be ready when it comes to lore, troops and general concept and feeling. I believe we have minimal information about them and you can give us another look into them via the blogs, without spoiling in-game sequences, quests or storylines. Just a general (but more in-depth) description about them, who leads each faction, the background, some troops and why the're special. This will give us players anticipation for each blog and something much more important to talk about. Dev interviews are okay, but honestly nobody expects them with excitement because the information we get is irrelevant to the game.
This is a good idea and something we have already talked about doing internally.
Yes please!!

I don't think it looks that bad, but I don't usually play with high shadows so I'm not really one to talk about whether a shadow looks good or not lol.

Interesting article, although I'm really hoping for some previews of the different factions so that we can get to see them and I can get to see my already beloved Vladians in their glory.

Why the horse only have armor in the front? Is some kind of mid tier armor?

Its a common thing used so they can save metals and distrubute for more calvary forces
