What's the Serva equivalent of an ad-blocker? Because I feel like we could all use one.

You could just not pick up the couriers whose distortion wave indicates it came from Neurhone. But then you'd miss out on these great deals.

It has come to my attention that my predecessor, or at least one of his subordinates within the Pel's Aurora Innovaganix administration, had previously arrested and charged the former Deputy Governor of Atodes, Jon, with grievous infractions against Innovaganix, the sponsor of Atodes and Jon's employer. While these are very serious charges, I have looked over the list of punishments slated, and many already administrated, for Jon and I have decided that many of them are cruel and unjust.

I have personally seen to it that orders are sent to Jon's jailors to enact his immediate release into a position of house arrest, coupled with a full SFMS medical recovery team. His injuries are extensive, but the best medical care available will be afforded to him. At such a time as former Deputy Jon is healthy in body and mind, the charge brought against will be re-considered in a publicized hearing.

I would like to thank Hieronymous Ingran for being the one to bring this to my attention, as it is a detail that had slipped through my reports in this tumultuous time of transition. As always Lord-Governor Ingran is a valued diplomat, Pel's Aurora is a better place for his influence.

This comes directly from the desk of CEO Botrighte.

Would have finished both Crimson and Elixir today but then got distracted nail-biting as the election went the way it went. Will resume tomorrow, Crimson left yellow.

Pel's Aurora: One year on...
The past year in a nutshell
It is the 1st of Morning Star, Year 198, not just in Pel's Aurora but the entirety of human-dominated space. A little over one year ago, humankind first touched down on the worlds of the newly-declared region. It has been twelve eventful months and much has changed.
Pel's Aurora is a region in mourning, bouncing back from months of full-scale war, rampant marauding, and deployment of bioweapons. But as some Aurorans mourn the loss of loved ones and honor their war heroes with memorials and medals, others have cause to celebrate. Trade is booming, industrial production is on the rise, and perhaps more importantly, the wars that have ripped the region asunder are finally over. May peace long reign in Pel's Aurora!

The first months of 197 foreshadowed what was to come. Mega-conglomerate RCEOs turned their assets away from their sponsored colonies and instead towards enhancing their own wealth and trying to oust their competitors from the region. Examples of this are seen in former RCEO Maxim Harvey's complete neglect of the colonies under his sphere of influence, severing ties completely. Lukkastor's RCEO at first dabbled in superweapons and fleet power projection before turning his attention more inwards sometime later in the year. Ronstal, once one of the giants of the region, was reported to have ignored all incoming communications, instead mostly using money on hiring privateers and amassing what was for a long time the largest industrial base in Pel's Aurora.

Perhaps surprisingly to some, it was Innovaganix that paid the most attention to the colonies under its influence. Under Banner's tenure, elemental nanites were deployed in the atmosphere of Atodes in order to rein it in and stabilize it to ensure a more comfortable existence for the colonists, whose planet is known for its unpredictable harsh weather. Furthermore, ground troops were deployed on Kalonda to defend the colonists against the local alien threat, saving the colonists on more than one occasion, before a more rash solution, the deployment of a lethal neurotoxin in Kalonda's water supply, reversed the colony's fortunes. To its credit, Innovaganix would try to correct this mistake, constructing a water treatment facility on Kalonda, but to this day the colony has yet to recover from this oversight.

The collapse of Tritach's influence lead to Innovaganix extending its own across Blue Quadrant. A non-aggression pact was made between the corporations, and Innovaganix hegemony, being unchallenged, brought the first period of stability to Pel's Aurora. There were still skirmishes, backdoor plotting, and of course marauders, but at least for a short time Pel's Aurora was able to breathe. But this was only the calm before the storm, as within the next few months, full-scale war erupted across the region on a scale never before seen. Colonies and mega-conglomerates rapidly industrialized and cultivated a war economy, mobilizing entire populations, while so-called warlords threw their lot into various camps and formed alliances of their own.

The bioweapon built in Innovaganix laboratories sealed its fate, as a coalition of colonies, warlords, and megacorps formed to topple Innovaganix hegemony. However, being hegemon, and having the strongest military in Pel's Aurora, Innovaganix did not back down easily. It took months as complete carnage blanketed the region in war, leaving only a handful of star systems untouched by the conflict, until finally, in the aftermath of the Battle of Regotha - which was, interestingly enough, an Innovaganix tactical and strategic victory that could have allowed it to survive another month or two or even turn the war in its favor - Banner went complete bonkers. No one quite understands the events that followed, but in short, an Innovaganix Pel's Aurora branch exists no more. More details to follow.

What does the future hold for Pel's Aurora?...
The fall of Innovaganix in Green Quadrant and the fall of Triterra in Blue comes at an awkward time. The warring powers were expecting at least another few months of offensives, but now, despite a large surplus of weapons and manpower, there is no one to fight.
Disarmament would be logical, but the pattern in Pel's Aurora leads some pessimists to make more dire predictions. The last period of stability was only temporary, and unlike last time, there is no single hegemonic entity to make lesser powers complacent. The trend in Pel's Aurora so far has been that in lieu of other means of gaining wealth and influence, such as exploration, colonization, trade, or innovation, some RCEOs have chosen to pursue war. Perhaps there are new RCEOs, perhaps they are more commerce-oriented, but it remains to be seen.

(The following averages are going to be imprecise, as there are many missing numbers due to the game running, well, far longer than a year. I did the best I could!)
POPULATION
In Morning Star 197, 4.5 million colonists arrived to settle Pel's Aurora, distributed around 14 worlds.
As of Morning Star 198, the reported regional population is 5.76 million, distributed around 16 known inhabited worlds.

INDUSTRY
Average mining yield in Morning Star, Year 197: 58,000 metric tonnes
Average mining yield in Morning Star, Year 198: 190,000 metric tonnes

Average industrial capacity in Morning Star, Year 197: 26 IC
Average industrial capacity in Morning Star, Year 198: 134 IC

INTERSTELLAR TRADE:
In Morning Star 197, seven trade deals were made. (And I had more players back then!)
In Twilight 197, forty-nine trade deals were made.

Kalondan Revolution!
While the rest of the region, save for a couple flashpoints, looks forward to peace in our time with the winding-down of the Innovaganix Containment War in our region and, hopefully, disarmament, Kalonda has exploded into civil war.

During the Innovaganix Containment War the entire merchant astra of Innovaganix was annihilated, cutting Spiremos off from its colonies. While for most this was a minor nuisance at best, for Kalonda it has been catastrophic. Mass conveyors from Spiremos were the lifeline for Spiremos, bringing precious food, the monthly salary, water treatment equipment, and military supplies to help the locals fend off the indigenous wildlife.

Two months ago, when shipments to Kalonda ceased due to the war and the CARAPACE garrison was withdrawn to Spiremos to prepare for a last stand, the food stores of the colony had been enough to keep the people fed, and the army was able to stay organized and united enough, with advice from IVX leaders, to keep the locals in check. However, when IVX collapsed and Kalonda found itself without any semblance of outside aid, famine struck. This famine was disastrous, but it was just the beginning. Deputy Tallman did nothing to alleviate the suffering, causing a lot of unrest, to which he responded with martial law, and continued to funnel resources into cultivating his own personality cult and filling his own wallet.
Things began to escalate even further when an anonymous source released an audio transcription from one of Tallman's diplomatic meetings with a foreigner who was offering help to Kalonda, in more ways than one. Any sane person in his position would have accepted the offer - Kalonda was on the verge of disaster. But, in words that shook the world, Tallman is quoted as saying:
"Kalonda does not need your help or anyone else's. Enter this system and you will be fired upon."

This transcription circulated in Kalonda's media like wildfire despite the Deputy's best attempts to censor it. Instead of accepting the help that Kalondans so desperately needed, Tallman threatened it. That was the last straw. Kalondans had had enough.
Several armed factions organized on Kalonda over the next week, all united in overthrowing Peter Tallman's martial law and installing someone else. But the similarities end there. They are a melting pot of ideologies and agendas, and some have no interest in ending the famine whatsoever.
The rebels nonetheless formed a coalition and defeated Tallman's loyalist army in a week-long campaign, assaulted his villa, and killed him. Tallman's body was paraded through the streets with the words, "What would you dooo... for a tube of nutrient paste?"

But it didn't take long for tensions between the rebel factions to reach a climax, and any attempts at negotiation to fail. Now the factions are warring with each other to decide the destiny of Kalonda. But it has already become apparent that this Kalondan Revolution is not just the business of Kalondans. War correspondents report that at least one of the factions is receiving modern weapons and training from at least one foreign supplier and likely more.
Meanwhile, Kalonda's indigenous and hostile life have taken note of the humans' infighting and that because of it, patrols to outlying villages and outposts have been cut down. The arthropods have swarmed in, destroying what subsistence farms the villagers had created to survive and terrified the locals. They grow bolder each day, and some even consider them a faction in the civil war all to their own.

The Order of the Soaring Eagle has deployed a chapter of Paladins to Kalonda in an attempt to provide relief to the population as the factions wage war.

Raid in New Nassau!
A Giannist trade galleon, the WRA Adiaphora, was attacked and crippled by a starship belonging to a warlord named Captain Rooch, though he was not present on the attack vessel itself.

Confrontation in D5
A standard escorted repair and resupply mission to ATOS' Boson Star in D5 turned out to be not so standard and routine. Upon arrival the ATOS squadron detected unknown starships, which were later discovered to be warships in service of the Dracona Republic, and were here guarding Dracona's own harvesting operations which had commenced more recently. Apparently this is due to Dracona's belief that ATOS went back on their word in a prior deal regarding splitting the dark matter produced at this boson star, and following its interruption by the Innovaganix heavy frigates last month, decided to take the initiative.
The ATOS squadron commander opted to allow these operations to continue, preferring to let the RCEO handle the diplomacy side of things.

Collapse of Innovaganix, Rise of SFMS!
Innovaganix's regional branch has been acquired by a new startup "mega-conglomerate" called Southbreak Financial & Medical Securities. No one is entirely sure what was going on in the regional administration when this happened - following the successful Regotha Convoy and the commencing of war subsidies from sector command, Innovaganix had a shot at taking back hegemony in Pel's Aurora. It was unlikely in even the best case, but Innovaganix had recovered its fleet and launched raids against its enemy's logistical infrastructure. Then, for reasons unknown to the general public, Marshall Noszek agreed to liquidate the regional branch for a mere handful - 400 Andors - to a returning warlord by the name of Leith Botrighte, after his offer was turned down by others.
Deon and Noszek then spoke with their best crew aboard their best warships and arranged to fan into the wilds of space to wander the stars. Except something came to interrupt this... (see 'Apprehension of Deon Banner' below)

The new management has arrived on Spiremos this month and is acclimating to its new position. However, the military is not completely cooperative, especially the fleet, and many high-ranking officials refused to give a proper briefing to the new RCEO. Protests have also ignited outside Spiremos corporate headquarters, and the citizenry is demanding Leith Botrighte to reveal once-sensitive information about Innovaganix's reputed kidnapping of certain individuals for biological testing, as well as cruel experimentation on prisoners of war.

Nanovirus spreads to Spiremos...
The nanovirus which attacked Spiremos' military installations on the moon last month has been completely uninterrupted in the midst of the confusion, and with nothing being done about it, the entire base has been devoured. Worse yet for the new management, the nanovirus has spread to Spiremos proper. No one is quite sure how this happened, as its not like nanites can fly interplanetary distances, but whatever the case may be, they are starting to rip into advanced technology around the outskirts of Spiremos' largest city.

Collapse of Triterra: Battle of Meio, and Siege of Awugheswt
After Emperor Maxim projected power over Iota Zulu and Psi Olympia, Meio, a member of the Free Systems, was widely believed by many to be the next target. This prediction turned out to be correct, confirmed on the 3rd when the 35+ strong fleet of warships arrived in Meio and demanded the Meyove surrender. As expected, however, the Meyove refused. As with most things the Meyove do, it was iconic and memorable - the entire tribal assembly stood up and chanted 'NO!' before Harvey himself.
As he had promised, refusal to surrender meant invasion, and Triterra deployed more than 100,000 soldiers on the ground, facing about 40,000 Meyove troops. However their landing location was not optimal due to Awugheswt's (Meio's capital city) fortification system and more importantly the Halom cannon, which forced Triterra's army to deploy some distance outside the city. Meanwhile, Awugheswt projected a tachyon field to shield itself against orbital bombardment - however in part thanks to the Halom again, fusion warheads were scarcely used and were largely ineffective.

The Army of the Meyove Confederation, or Matigsa as it is known in the shorthand in the local language, was outnumbered but fought tenaciously, resisting every step of the way. First Triterra had to force its way through a 5-layer system of bunkers, doing so only after almost 4 days of assault, and even at the end of this, 3 bunkers had endured the onslaught and had deployed their own miniature tachyon fields, forcing the enemy to leave some troops behind to siege them. More days past as the Meyove slowly backpedaled, only yielding land when they had been completely overwhelmed.
Finally, the Matigsa was utterly overpowered and, after leaving behind some men to cover their retreat, Yasirthi (the 'Zhudyvan' or appointed supreme commander) withdrew back into the city to regroup and await reinforcements.

Those reinforcements came on the 17th, in a massive allied armada of 40+ warships - the largest single fleet ever assembled in the short history of Pel's Aurora, even beating the previous record from the first Battle of Regotha. The fleet was made up of a coalition of several allies and others who agreed that Triterra must be destroyed. Among these were the Order of the Soaring Eagle, the Servan Dual Confederacy, the People's Republic of Cor (New Nassau), and the Giannist Hierarchy.
The coalition fleet deployed a strange new weapon - able to engage at several light-minutes (as opposed to lasers, which typically are only viable at ranges out to a few dozen light-seconds) which pierced armour with ease. However it seemed to have an extremely slow fire rate. Nonetheless, the coalition fleet split in two, one group in the open and the other hidden behind the next furthest planet from Meio, and used this weapon for about an hour (firing only 3-4 times) at Harvey's flagship. At first only a nuisance, Harvey eventually relented and fell into the coalition's trap. He charged the one group, which was in the open, bringing to bear all firepower facing forward and at full speed.

Once they crossed the path of the hidden part of the Coalition fleet, it started to look more like a conventional space battle. However Triterra's fleet was completely caught off guard and trying to reorganize to meet the threat at the flank while taking heavy fire from the front, while being barraged with missiles and drones. Triterra lost the drone battle and was forced on the defensive immediately. As the fleet began to fall apart, a traitorous star cutter in Triterra's fleet deliberately triggered a breach in its fusion core, and the resulting explosion (equivalent to several large fusion warheads) generated an EMP which completely disabled any offensive systems in Harvey's flagship. Harvey himself escaped via drop pod to Meio's surface, and only moments afterwards, his fleet surrendered to the enemy, who was almost unscathed.

But the battle, and the war, was not over yet. The coalition deployed, over the course of six hours, an army which outnumbered Triterra's (if one includes the battered Matigsa) and enveloped the enemy on all sides. Several more days of constant fighting would rage on, when one Triterran division got enveloped and "squeezed" to death, as the rest of the coalition launches an assault on a Triterran-occupied small Meyove city where the Triterrans have established their forward operating base. The "Siege of Awugheswt" is still going as of right now.

Apprehension of Deon Banner!
Deon Banner and his marshal had arranged to leave Spiremos in the midst of the confusion following the regional branch's acquisition by SFMS. They were planning to escape with the still-loyal veteran crew aboard the IVX Lair, IVX Tarantula, and IVX Wasp, the three finest warships in the former Hive Fleet, who have extensive combat experience, and take to the depths of space to seek new fortunes. Except when they approached the depot for the space elevator, they found the guards who were supposed to be on duty strangely absent. At first slightly bemused, the two expressed their frustration to the guard commander, except he didn't answer the phone.
But it soon became clear that Mr. Banner and Noszek were not alone in the depot. A dozen masked figures wearing brown coats and armed with beamer pistols approached. "You're coming with us," they say on security footage, and the pair are pushed around at gunpoint to a different elevator.

Emergency Elections
Psi Olympia finds itself awkwardly independent following its betrayal of Maxim Harvey, and its contribution of forces to aid the Meyove in their siege. In light of this it has declared itself a confederation of sorts, known as the Hephaestus Manufacturing Alliance, consisting of Olympia itself and its colony on a volcanic world, known as Firebrand.
However the newly-elected Anthroson Deputy, known to humans simply as Glacier, was rather naive when it came to interstellar politics - but also paranoid and guarded. It ended up being the case that Glacier was overly so, and kept details about the exact nature of his cooperation against Harvey secret from the rest of the coalition.
This faux pas appears to have angered the Free Systems, and after shoving away the protection of a mega-conglomerate (or empire) Olympia finds itself diplomatically isolated. Recognizing this failure, Glacier has called for emergency elections to take place to choose his replacement.

The campaigning is still ongoing on Olympia, with many different approaches coming in from several candidates. One of these candidates is known to be Major General Cai Vollan, the commander of Olympia's forces on Meio. The others are not so well-known as of now.

Three Pillars of ATOS!
ATOS is said by some (all of them in ATOS) that it is the most socially progressive organization in Pel's Aurora. Whatever that means, we don't see them ending the violent class divisions that are igniting wars all over the worlds of human space. The mantra of this social engineering initiative is the "three pillars of ATOS" which are Honor, Freedom, and Progress. As part of this initiative, ATOS has reduced work hours by hiring additional staff, introducing paid vacation and vacation programs, and offering contract work to interstellar clients and freelancers. The reduction in work hours and the paid vacation especially (up to one month per year) are extremely generous benefits - especially in this Corporate Era. As a result many potential employees have taken up ATOS' contract work offer and have visited Neurhone to begin living and working for their half-year to year term.

Relocated Headquarters! Trade Missions!
Deep in the scarcely-explored Maradona Stars, newly-appointed CEO Katerina of ECTV has made a bold move. The Atargatis star system is bountiful with natural resources and would make an amazing new headquarters. Everyone else might think to themselves, "Gee, I really wish Atargatis was my headquarters!" But Katerina is not the wishful type of person. She made arrangements to relocate 100,000 colonists, her immediate staff, and large sections of the military and economic infrastructure to one of the Ice Worlds orbiting a gas giant in Atargatis, one which conveniently enough was already defended by an HMMC-owned laser defense battery. But this was not all. A further 100,000 were dispatched to settle a volcanic world in Elyon, and the remaining population of Epsilon Izari was left to its own devices as a new, independent colony, largely a coalition government of sorts between the various companies of the Council of Funding Investors we last heard from several months ago.
Katerina herself spent much of this month aboard a starship however. The starship was running several trade missions and Katerina figured she'd pay a visit to each of the locations stopped at, in an effort to build new relationships and foster interstellar trade - a cornerstone of ECTV's idea of progress.
Among these visits were in-person meetings with the Domain's admiralty in Nueluzon, the Frontiersmen (and the Despertun!) in Viga Mizar, Deputy Romanov of Hiza, Deputy Valkier of Dracona, the Archon of the Giannist Hierarchy, and whoever's in charge of Maghua operations in Alkonost.

Economic Boom in New Nassau!
New Nassau may well be the fastest-growing economy in Pel's Aurora, a fact which doesn't look likely to change anytime soon. While the People's Republic deploys warships and troops to Meio to assist the locals, at home business is booming due to the influx of new settlers, the construction of a new city, the opening up of new markets for the Republic's various state companies to exploit, and increasingly detailed ground surveys of the deep wilderness and the oceans. It helps that New Nassau is a major trade hub in Pel's Aurora, forming a line with the equally important nodes of Rho Aquilae and Epsilon Izari.

Consolidation of the Eru-Judian Commonwealth
Olympia and Meio are not the only worlds which fight against Triterra for independence. The Republic of Iota Zulu has defeated the small Triterran garrison of warships in its system in a drawn out firefight (in what is being called the Battle of Nationhood) and in the process has sent telegrams to all human worlds in Pel's Aurora and establishing embassies. The republic has made a polite request to the rest of the region to refer to Iota Zulu and its colonies by its new official title: The Eru-Judian Commonwealth, so-named in homage to the old Desan settlement on Iota Zulu. While the system is still called Iota Zulu, the primary world of this commonwealth is now known as Isfiur, and its capital city Wetardom.

The Commonwealth is a major regional power and a center for archaeology and other historical research. Records allude to the arrival of a well-known archaeologist to Iota Zulu, who despite his very introverted tendencies has encouraged the local museums to look for evidence regarding some kind of direly important hypothesis he is pursuing.

Pel's Umbra, aka Gianni's Stars
Space is the frontier that will never be conquered, and despite all the civilizations which exist now and have existed in the past, there are large sections of the galaxy which remain unexplored and completely untouched. And out of many species in the galaxy, humans are some of the biggest victims of wanderlust - some live simply for the simple joy of exploring the stars, far from the violent struggles that define sedentary civilization.
Rather than staying sequestered in Pel's Aurora and its affairs, many nations, but the Giannist Hierarchy first among them, have branched into the nearby region which has earned the name Pel's Umbra - though citizens of the Hierarchy have named it the Gianni's Stars, in memory of the fallen hero they revere so much.

But the Giannists are not the only pioneers. Embrace the nomadic ancestor inside all of us and unlock the secrets of the ancients, find worlds to colonize and exploit, or even just explore for exploration's sake.

We are unlikely the first humans - or first sapients - in this particular area though. Watch your step!

myHolo, and Spider Silk Fashion
Telotele has always had an appreciation for the finer things in life, and it helps that it's always theirs. It's the closest Pel's Aurora gets to Beverly Hills or Dubai - but rather than diamond cars or gold-dispensing ATM machines, Telotele transforms a strategic resource - spider silk - into a mere cosmetic product.
Spider silk is hardly the most ideal material to make luxury clothes out of, but that hasn't stopped fashion designers and models from flaunting it in all its vivid colors and textures. These fine fabrics are said to the the perfect example of form and function - not only are they glamorous, but they have a good chance of stopping an assassin's bolt as well!
They've become a symbol of status on Telotele, and the rich are picking up some sick new threads for their wardrobe to parade around in at the next social gathering.

Oh but there's more! Many in Pel's Aurora know of Lukkastor's popular holo-cinemas, though not every colony has them. Efforts are being made to bring the theater experience to your home! It's a rather expensive apparatus and so far only the upper middle class and above can set aside money for it, but development is ongoing with the goal of optimizing the design to bring it to the masses. This is known as 'myHolo' and is picking up among the wealthier sorts on Regotha, Atodes, Rho Aquilae, and New Sol.

Primitive Civilization Discovered!
In the newly-reported star system now called '2 Isila Zulu', its second planet is home to a pre-warp civilization which has developed a writing system and organized aquaculture. The population is small and strangely evenly distributed around the planet's landmass, but reports are abound of rampant and seemingly random violence among the locals to an unusual extent.

Servan Independence War!
10 First Abundance, Year 196
Although many in Pel's Aurora already knew of the Servan Independence War, (the central theater of which is only 4-5 ship months from Pel's Aurora, while 8 from Earth) some number of us do not. Word of mouth from Earth itself has confirmed that a world of Starborne separatists have risen in armed revolt against mega-conglomerate rule following the Rubiya Massacre, allegedly perpetrated by former Tritach RCEO Maxim Harvey. This world, Serva, was previously split in half by its ruling mega-conglomerates Tritach and Innovaganix (who both wanted a piece of this well-developed and densely populated pie) who each controlled dozens of squabbling nation states as sponsorships. The revolt has changed all that. Both megacorps have been ousted and the two most populated archipelagos formed up into confederacies to try and maintain the stability offered by their former rulers. After narrowly avoiding warring with eachother instead, these two confederations have formed a tight-knit military alliance known simply as the Dual Confederacy (Servan: Tanvaryomuldeshur inada Awjek). After resisting several attempts to restore megacorp control (most of which were only narrowly repulsed by the "assistance" of a competing megacorp) Serva has flooded its nearby Earthborne neighbors, struggling under plutocrat dominance, with manpower and materiel to local insurgencies to wage war on a region-wide scale, and has rapidly mobilized, constructing almost 400 modern warships and fielding 800,000+ ground troops.

The Tritach CEO was furious when news reached him of these events. Given his seat on the Five Sectors, he called for immediate intervention with a full United Armada + FFEL joint task force, and some say he threatened Consul Prima Weyland with a further escalation of dark matter prices if he did not cave to demands. After due deliberation and lengthy discussion, Weyland ultimately came to the decision to send a JTF to assist the Profit Communion in defeating the Servans. But everyone questioned his choice of Grand Marshal. Weyland has appointed a Mars graduate who goes by Ashford, whose birthplace was Solovh, a planet which is joining the Dual Confederacy, and some say his parents were killed in the related massacre there. Perhaps a deliberate move on Weyland's part? Whatever the case may be, the Human Domain (or Global Alliance if you prefer) is in a state of war with the Dual Confederacy.

The joint task force, in tandem with the regional militaries (what's left of them) of the three main mega-conglomerates of the Profit Communion, vastly outnumbers the Servans in terms of both the astrofleet and planetary forces, and holds the strategic initiative for now. But there are many worlds teeming with well-armed insurgents, and the war has spread to engulf neighboring regions. Some say that Warmaster Hanthorn has a plan... a plan that will make the coalition's superior strength irrelevant. It remains to be seen...

Mankind joins the Congress of Madapar!
60,000 years ago, the mightiest civilization in galactic history (so say some), the Desan Triple Alliance, completely fell apart. Its remnants fought on as the Sixteen Kingdoms, but its former slave races found themselves without a master and a concerning power vacuum. Acknowledging their common ground as former slaves of the fallen Desan, and the need to maintain a balance of power in the vast area of space their masters once ruled, the slave races formed the Congress of Madapar - so named because it holds summits at the world of Madapar, homeworld of the Milky Way's first starfaring civilization on record (Madapari itself being a Desan word for this race, meaning wayfarers)

While humans fall under the ancient Desan sphere of influence, and control the most important planet of that time period (Mars itself!) they have been denied access to the Congress of Madapar for decades - until now. The races of the Congress are hardly friendly to us - in fact they are ignorant at the very best - but they are so desperate for help in their so-called "Alliance War" that they are looking for any excuse to bring us in now. Considering this would secure our coreward frontier and the race the Congress hates are a possible long-term threat to humans anyway, Weyland has decided to take them up on their offer... conditionally. While humans have sworn to uphold the Resolutions made by the congress over tens of thousands of years, Weyland has made it clear that in practice, our obedience is... optional. Here are a few of the most relevant ones:

Resolution 1: In short, the indiscriminate hostility towards the Uhara. Weyland encourages that this should be approached on a case-by-case basis, as this is simply thoughtless traditionalism on the Congress' part.
Resolution 2: In short, tightly regulated (if extant at all) inter-species trade. Weyland encourages ignoring this entirely, as the primary motivation for this is the artificially engineered Great Plague that happened 90,000 years ago.
Resolution 3: In short, a prohibition on the development of bio-weapons. Members party to this resolution are allowed to research bio-weaponry solely for the purpose of finding counters against it. Weyland would prefer if we followed this one at least, it has merit to it.
Resolution 4: In short, because of paranoia shown in Res #2 and the fear in Res #3, a complete trade embargo against the Maghua. Weyland wants you to ignore this completely. Our mutually beneficial relationship with the Maghua is infinitely more valuable and important than any membership of any Congress.

Mechanics/Notes
- The shipbuilder will be updated to allow all player types to design and build ships using it. This process is still going and should be completed by Monday.
- I've settled on 1500 funds to buy a generic colony ship from InTran, with a size up to 35,000. You can also buy an S-class ship for 2000, which has more highly-educated colonists, but fewer in total (max size of maybe 20,000). Remember that NPC corps can do it too, sometimes as a reward for missions.
- OP will hopefully be updated with costs of things that are available to everyone that I've recovered thanks to a couple people sending me their notes.
- Other **** I've probably forgott- oh yeah the mercenaries thing. The system will be different now to save me some work. There will be a 'shop' for you to customize mercs. Rules will be made... sometime lol.
- Marketplace and freight jobs are not updated yet.
- Still feel like I'm forgetting something. Oh well.

The Eru-Judian Commonwealth requests that nobody interfere with this species,  which at this time we call the Isila. You may consider them essentially our protectorate. We'll be working on finding out the cause of the violence, addressing it, and figuring out to what extent it's even safe to interact with these beings.

[Commercial]Ever wanted a really cool car? Well, now's your chance. The Eru-Judian Commonwealth is proud to announce the development of a luxury automobile fit for a Desan Prince. And that's not just a weird comparison, we actually looked into the archeological records we've found and were able to reconstruct an actual Desan Prince's personal car,  the design of which was adapted slightly to better fit us humans,  and then constructed with only the finest of materials. Our manufacturers, Iota Zulu's own Westwatch group, are currently in the process of building for the Lord-Governor's personal use, and if you want to get your hands on one, place your order now!

Aside from just this though, we've also begun to produce fine art reproductions from the Desan and Tarak cultures, most uniquely of surviving contemporary hand drawn images of the daily life of the Desan, which beyond their (considerable) artistic value offer exceedingly interesting insights 60000 years into the past. Contact our publishers if you want to get your hands on one of these images, or feel free to inquire about their other products. [/Commercial]

We on Olympia announce that elections will be held between the four candidates. Glacier has not spoken on whom he endorses for the campaign, but he has assured voters that while his blunder was risky for Olympia, he says that he will continue to serve as a local infrastructural chairman on Olympia; a job he feels more suited for.

Olympia is open to dialogue with potential sponsors; albeit we will as a government delay any decision made until our newly elected representative is fully transitioned into power and they in combination with their decision making with advisory from the representative councils of Olympia and Firebrand will confirm the path Olympia takes. Olympia is in a time of transition, and all citizens are required to vote. Not that they need much incentive after such a turbulent period.

We'd like to invite any partnerships with trading and to boast of our well developed vehicle production industries. From automobiles to armoured fighting vehicles, Olympia's engines are nothing to scoff at- built with the utmost quality and a promise of satisfaction for all our potential customers.
