I honestly couldn't be bothered with a stacking 6% increase in polarms VS mounted archers on my companion with a banner (I'm guessing the buff here), on top of a 4% increase in shield wall for infantry on another companion (exisiting mechanic), therefore removing their shield and having them die in battle, especially after finding out so many of the Kingdom Policies don't work.
I wanted a more intricate game like so many others, but I feel like this is not the way to do it. It feels battle-royal-capture-the-flag-like, probably more suitable for MP, not SP (especially seeing it just magically sticking in the ground standing up after it falls which is stupidly jarring).
I just wanted more diplomacy, heck, more dialogue with random townspeople would have been better imo. There's already a perfectly good mod that's adds banners to your troops, whether you want 10, 20, 30 etc etc, and it looks slick. That's all we wanted, and we had it. Why spend so much time adding this magic banner (which will no doubt break the banner mod) and all these perks when you could have been doing one of the 500 things the community has be begging for for so long. You even had a list someone made for you to add to the game! Just look at the list!!! Bruh I can't even with ya'll. Get your heads out of your ***/sand!!.
All in all, I can't wait for Taleworlds next 16 updates of them exclusively reworking the banner buffs (which no one asked for) and somehow breaking every mod in the process.
