What's the deal with aiming at NPCs and seeing totally random facts about them? Then you just aim at a particular one and it says "THIS ONE! THIS IS THE NPC YOU ARE LOOKING FOR!" Really?
I liked Hitman, where you were given a photo of your target or something, and then you had to go find them. They didn't have arrows over their heads, they weren't marked on a minimap, and they didn't have mystical glowing outlines. You could still pick them out because they looked unique compared to a lot of the "generic" characters in the game, but that's more of a limitation of technology at the time than a game design issue.
