I hate how since more high definition textures were made for consoles and PC some years ago, every single character has to be a steroid-pumped idiot. Did this start with like Gears of War? They JUST HAVE to show how good they can tweak the graphics to show muscles and veins. An average build is of no detail rite.

Well Mass Effect made it right with Shepard. Muscular to an extend (he IS a Special Force soldier after all) but not over done.

If you make them skinny enough, you get to texture in the rib cage, which is probably harder to texture than veins.
