Old man's gone senile.
No, but I think there's a stage before dementia as adult.
Half the time I have no idea what people are saying to me.
When someone ends a sentence with ", you know", I never do.
"Sometimes you just want to relax and have fun, you know". No. No, I don't.
I haven't laughed in 14 years. I have to fake emotions. Any emotion.

Is this some obscure reference or do you have real issues?
I don't know people.
When I talk to someone I see through them, their eyes, into nothing, because there's nothing here, where I am.
They have goals, desires, and are trying to get somewhere. I'm trying to get nowhere. This moment is all I have.
When conversation is about a place, I never know where it is, and even when I do, I don't.
"You know, it's on Queen's Street, by the sushi place. They're doing roadwork now."And I say "yes, I know", but I don't know.
If I don't say yes, they'll keep explaining, listing street names and cafés, until realising I'm hollow and don't even know where I am now, in this very moment.
And that moment is mine. It's all I have, they can't go there, or I have to leave. I'll need to confess that I'm lost and no one can guide me.
To another place, where I feel something, see something. A state of being where others exist, and things exist, in a time that's mine...
