Hi, I'm interested in scene editing for your mod. I still have to get the hang of spawn points but I'd be willing to learn. (its more like I'm too lazy to really read in forums) I really like lord of the rings however and it'd be fun working on a mod.

Some Scene Editing would be lovely!
My PC is still down, but the parts are ordered and so it should be fixed soon (fingers crossed).

If you could have ago at something simple like Weathertop (with default Warband stuff for now) and show us what you've done that would be great!

Hey Guys!
Good news, PC is back!

Picked it up yesterday and spent most of the afternoon updating things and making sure it was working correctly (which it was).
So I should be able to start modding again, (though not this weekend as I'm out role-playing tonight...)

I'll update the first page with the new guys that have joined since the pc was down (were getting a real mod team together now).

If you guys could report for duty when you're ready I'll give you some stuff to be getting on with.

Cheers,

Im here. I already did some uruk stuff, but they all dissapeared when my PC crashed.

I have made Uruk-Shield though like ages ago,but we need someone to texture it ^

Hi people. Monkeys_uncle, i just checked out every post in this thread, after checking some OSPs. I think that if you keep up the spirit, we may get there quickly.

The thing is, i had some (VERY) little experience in scene making. I really cant use Wings 3d, im no modeller, but i already worked with scenes. I had a computer where everytime i tried to do it i said "M&B Warband stopped working". Now i have a new one, and i think it may just work. I used the NOVICIUS quick guide.

One more thing, I'm really good at making banners, not to complex ones, but i can make them with photoshop and then make banners files.

Now i made some link compilation that may be usefull for, us, even if you already know them:

-http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,149690.msg3600737.html#msg3600737 Uruk Stuff
-http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,68456.msg1771058.html#msg1771058heros weapons
-http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,148402.0.html Gondor equipment
(there are more, but i cant find them)

Now there is a Animation Enhancement I'm really fond of (the one in my signature)-CAE (Combat Animation Enhancement)-http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,134185.0/topicseen.html

Cheers,

PS: I you consider me working for you (what I would gladly do), please bear in mind I am at year 11, and my studying life is a living hell, so i won't have much time to work on this. I problably can't do a piece of **** until Thursday.

Also i insist u look into those links. In the heros one deeper into the thread there is an amazing uruk-Hai armour(Not in the Uruk-Hai armour link, the hero one) and a gandolf the grey. Page 5 I believe

Hey Guys!
I've been off college all this week due to a lack of skin on the thumb and index finger of my right hand!
However, I have been able to do a lot of modding (as its the only thing I don't need all my fingers for). This means progress has been swift (I'm almost done with the Gondorian factions troop trees).

However, I've come to the conclusion that the vanilla animations really don't suit LoTR, therefore I'm sending out a plea to anyone with a good knowledge of Warband and animation, please could you edit the animations to make them more suitable for lord of the rings (i.e. less jerky would be good for or start) or give me a link to some tutorials so I can have a go at it myself.

On another note, if you all could report in for duty I've got some stuff that I would like you to be getting on with.

Cheers,

EDIT: I've already checked those OSP packs and I'm currently using the Gondorian one for all the gondor equipment, and though low-rez, it is very, very nice!

Well you could try out lazarous' animation enhancement. http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,134185.0.html
Or his tutorial for making your own http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,88430.0.html

yup joe, those i already mentioned (as the tutorial is from lazarou too)
btw, those are really nice animations, and if you look for something more lotr especific i think i could ask him to do that, as he already finished CAE, he may be able to do something else.

Researchers I'm afraid are something we've got coming out of our ears, however most of them seem to have deserted us, so you could come in handy later one.

I'm afraid I don't have anything for you to do at the moment, but we'll see.

The CAE is very awesome, however I feel it would be more suited to a Oriental mod rather than LoTR, but that tutorial looks real good, I'll take a bit more of a look at it today or tomorrow.

Cheers.

exactly kazan, and the polearm stabs are the ones i like most and could be applied to gondorian spearman.
Now, ive already tried, even with a whole afternoon to get something with the tutorial, but it really seems (noobish from me) that i cant really do it, as it needs already some knowledge on coding and software deep using.

As i already mentioned, the only thing i have ever worked with is scene EDITING, even though i cant really apply what i do because i dont know how to "play" with .sco files. (i have tried using wings 3d for moddeling, but them, same problem... cant code...)

Whatsoever, I think I would help a little more helping like Hans III, but more in a text creator. I would write texts like companion chat, game introduction (all that "Welcome, adventurer..." chip chap), lord chat, etc... Just need some informations about what companions/lords have you guys created until now.

I would gladly help as much as i could

Alright then, I will be around and will rush in a hurry if you need anything. I would love to be added to the team, but if you dont need me yet then i perfectly understand

Hey guys, just to say that i am not dead, and am here with my pointy stick to "encourage" our legion of seemingly pointless researchers, who haven't seen much of, well, ever
*brandishes said stick*

Woops!  Should have made message a bit clearer, you were to "encourage" them only if they got over top.
Currently the're behaving themselves in a fairly standard manner.
