I understand that a multiplayer campaign raises a slew of difficulties that are extremely difficult to overcome but something I think is sorely missing from the M&B world is the ability to measure yourself against your friends on the battlefield in a battle of the minds. I have always been more interested in the part of Mount and Blade which has you commanding troops from the POV of a human rather than from that of an omnipotent God (such as games like TW), and yet there lacks the ability to test your skill against friends - a feature which would attract so many SP players closer to the Multiplayer arena.
Now I fully understand that this is not the priority, but it would be the cherry on top of an already awesome cake if something like this were to be considered.
