Oh im sorry, I didnt knew I bought a 2001 indie multiplayer game made on a toaster that runs on W98, because this is so poorly and mediocrely programmed and designed it blows my mind to heaven and TURNS ME INTO A SAINT. HOW IS THAT THE SKIMRISH CLOSES JUST BECAUSE 1 PLAYER LEAVES THE WARMUP, HAVE YOU EVEN HEARD OF JUST WAITING FOR ANOTHER PLAYER TO JOIN TO REPLACE HIM??????? I WANT TO DESTROY THE CODE THAT RULES THIS; IVE NEVER TOUCHED A SINGLE PIECE OF PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE BUT I THINK IM UP TO THE TASK TO PROGRAM A ****ING CODE THAT DOESNT MAKE A 10 PLAYER WARMUP TO CLOSE THE ENTIRE GAME FOR EVERYONE JUST BECAUSE ONE PLAYER ****ING LEFT. I'm surprised that matchmaking works at all, considering it was effectively gone for like a year.
But yes, inspired by this post I had my first try in months and guess what: Geme was cancelled for someone leaving.

I don't know whether I'd prefer this to be a technical difficulty or a design decision, though both ways it's really not understandable.

I can totally understand the idea of designing this interruption mechanic to make the game feel fairer.
But there are too many unfair places in the matching game, and which programmer or administrator cares?

People generally leave skirmish when the match either glitches or they don't like that there are strong players on the enemy team. To some degree it's the community's way of dealing with broken features.

I mean look for example at Rocket League, that game tries and searches for new players if one was not able to connect, if then it fails to find a new player the match ends. Bannerlord immediately closes if a player leaves.
