So yesterday I was strolling around the map with a few of my "designated guards" to buy food for the villages surrounding my castle, and I was assaulted by a merc gang that was at war with my faction, so they gave an option, fight or pay. I though well maybe paying and be done with it, he was asking around 40k, so I refused.
The first thing I want to ask is, who does this works?, whats the formula for the ai to calculate how much money they will ask out of you to let you off, so far even forest bandits or mountain ones ask too much.
the second thing is, if we have such option when we attack someone, to let them off if the hand gold or so? Also ransom nobles is like warband? or do we just sell them off in a town like the rest of the prisioners? like i have been doing, and by doing so do they hate me more?
