A couple of things to note - The navmesh is a little messy - i've actually spent a long time on it. I'm not familiar with it at all but i was having some congestion issues before the bridge - so i've done what i can to stop that happening, which might make it look a little... nasty. Works fine though.
There is however a gap in the mesh before the crest in the hill that is there on purpose for that congestion issue.
I didn't mesh the whole map... i'd die from that, but everywhere that should be relevant to the siege itself is meshed - and though it won't do anything i also meshed the roads around the castle. I just kinda like watching my soldiers march along them <.<
If ya fancy it the map should be easily portable for multiplayer balance wise. Just unplug the barricade at the rear sally door and also the rear gate, and add a small ladder to the breach in the wooden wall on the cliff overlooking the sea. (Obviously also change all the entry points too <.<)
The defence location is in the centre of the courtyard, rather that right at the breach at the bridge. I find it more fun to attack that location when assaulting the castle as the player, and when defending you can always order your troops to defend wherever you like in the castle, so there's a bit of agency and player advantage there. Gives a very overrun feel which i enjoy.
I've also tried to keep the detail focused to the intended battle area to save on performance if necessary, so things get less detailed the further you veer from the fighting. Everything is kind of there to be a cool background that you can see from those locations.
Here are some glamour shots~
