I have a HP 15 n268sa laptop and my power button board has broken and I have no idea what I need to buy to replace it.
http://m.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=DA0U83PB6E0&isNewKw=1&_pgn=1&epp=24&itemId=&isRefine=true&mfs=SBCLK&acimp=0&sqp=DA0U83PB6E0&_trksid=p2056088.m2428.l1313.TR0.TRC0.XDA0U83PB6E0

This is what I'm looking for but I don't want to pay £30+ for something then for it not to work

Does it have a HP replacement number on it?

Hmmm not sure what you mean - this is a picture of my broken board http://imgur.com/w9BF95B with numbers on it

Edit - I think the number you mean is 640212-001 (says part number on HP website) but adding to cart etc does nothing and removes it from my cart
EDIT2 - OK I don't think that is the right number - when I search for my laptop serial number on the website '5CD4140LNH' it says there are no results...

Usually HP laptop parts have a line that says "Replace with HP Part 736378723" or whatever. Other than that... Uhm, if it fits it sits?

Will that be on the motherboard? Will have to take a look tomorrow. Will i be able to find a replacement easily on their website or eBay or w/e
