• In competitive games one person would go cavalry and the rest infantry. The infantry players would kill each other at the start of the round to spawn in as one of the cavalry. That would be a OP strat that would be abused every round.

i think you should be able to choose whatever unit you want to fight as, and not need to die in order to do so, maybe a new key that would allow you to switch between troops until you get to the one you want to choose, while not killing ur original host

yes having 1 cav and the rest infantry would be a good strategy and players should be able to use them to the best of their abilities,
will this lead to trolling?probably, but having a poll to kick would solve this

we should want players to be the most effective they can be at combat, the problem is that ai is so poor players can exploit it and kill hordes of units

ideally captain mode should be as big as possible with the front lines of the battle being almost all player based
