If you click & hold to drag a formation shape via the F1 (placement) command, your character will give the charge command. This happens very often in big battles with large enemy unit formations.
Trying to place shieldwalls near enemy infantry can be tricky since you constantly tell them to charge. Also likely to happen if you like to command your troops from far away from a vantage point.
Solution: Formation targeting should ONLY activate on a single click (no holding). Click & holding should not activate the charge command when releasing the button to place formations.
Or more simply, it just shouldn't activate at all if you have a command selected (E.g. F1).
