I wont vote, but bannerlord only because the graphics are nicer?

Besides that there is no way it is near as good hahaha. Unfortunately.

It also has better feeling mass combat and a better feeling economic system. Warband mods attempting to correct this tend to end up fairly jank in ways not to unreminiscent of bannerlord's current base jank.

I also like the character system in bannerlord more as a concept, but it's extra jank at the moment. Less and less jank from every patch luckily.

ya overall of course BL = more potential.

warband sets its mark and a high bar. Just played 1.5.6... its on its way i suppose.

No sarcasm.... I like the character build system in warband over the simple one in bannerlord....
I am not happy with the current state of character development in Bannerlord either. There is still work regarding balancing, progress and missing perks. Generally I like the idea of focus and perks and I think it can be good. But I can't really see how skills in Warband are more complex. I think the system was rather simple, I just picked whatever I can't do with companions for myself and got specialists for the rest. Didn't even need to think about a single point I spend.

Or are you talking about something else?

Recently snagged mount & blade collection when it was on sale. I really tried both warband & viking conquest and I just can't enjoy it. I set aside the graphics because I value game play over everything else but is just feels so clunky both the combat and user interface. Am not sure I'd have even played it back in 2010 given it was the same year release as my most played game of all time (Starcraft II) and it's night & day in term of production and polishness. People saying that warband is currently better than Bannerlord as of now have some nice rosy glasses and doing a disservice to the new game.

Give multiplayer a go and you'll see how fluid the combat is compared to single player, there are some soft locks in place in singleplayer regarding movement and camera. Starcraft is really polished and I don't think it's fair to compare TaleWorlds at its infancy to a huge corp like blizzard. There have barely been any patches at all from its release to now. There are definitely bugs and glitches that we expected to be fixed in Bannerlord, not worsened. The things we thought were stand out details of Warband hasn't been an inspiration to the developers of Bannerlord.

Hey, I agree with you it's not really fair to compare them given the size of their respective studios. I'm just saying how I'd probably have perceived the game back in 2010. Bannerlord as current is at least on pare with current gen graphics in my opinion and with a great engine capable of calculating multiple units playing numerous calculation behind the scene. It seem capable of utilizing my other CPUs while starcraft 2 is incapable or using more than 1 and struggling in a game with 400+ units.

I fairly believe Bannerlord has the fundamentals of a great game with it's nice engine and well optimised calculations. Thus having been said, it's fault lies mostly with it's lack content.

I will also give a try to warband multiplier whenever I get the time ( still have game installed ) and will you an in depth response as good as I'm capable off for it's multiplayer after all, I value gameplay over everything else.

I see there are still people playing this game at its current shape, when Warband with mods like POP,Bannerpage n others is a thing. Got me wondering if my statement above is correct.
bannerlord is quickly shaping up to be a much better product. Warband has over a decade of release updates and mods that support it. bannerlord is FAR easier to mod than warband and as soon as the patches that disrupt the mods slow down the modders will go nuts. As it is there is little incentive to make a major mod when the core game is going to invnalidate it several times over before it initially releases.

It goes to show how much chaos and disorganization was in TW when it's obvious they are currently cleaning up and standardizing their code, and only recently starting to convert previous warband features over to the new c# engine. but this conversion will only last so long, then new features and the ability for long standing mods will arise.

Can't comment on singleplayer, but I think Bannerlord has the potential to be a far better multiplayer game than Warband. In its current state, I'd probably say Warband does a few more things better than Bannerlord and I think part of that has to do with the NeoGK mod adding a bunch of new things. If i'm to compare Bannerlord with the NeoGK mod for Warband...

NeoGK
+Faction balance is (mostly) fine
+Autobalance
+$1800 worth of starting money is enough for late joiners to show off their skills while also having room for significant upgrades
-Games can sometimes devolve into a race to see who lands their infinite combo first

Bannerlord
+Fewer infinite combos
+Shoving as an alternative to kicks is a much welcome addition to melee combat
-Some factions are clearly better than others. Two of them out of a total of six aren't even worth playing
-Current class balance can sometimes stop players from making a much-needed comeback if they're broke. I can see why they did the current class system since you can no longer be an unstoppable death machine after hoarding a bunch of gold.

Both games
-Archer spam can ruin things real quickly. Only thing that seems to stop Warband players from spamming archers is a sense of honor that is absent among Bannerlord's playerbase. Bannerlord players have proven that they cannot be trusted in not spamming a class that is currently overpowered and therefore needs to have their favourite strategy neutered.

Why do you keep claiming there are infinite combos in this game lol
When you press the block button, you expect to block. If you get hit even when blocking in the right direction, it's a combo. There is a delay between getting hit, recovery and when your block has active frames and you can get hit before your block has active frames even when you block in the right direction. It is very much possible to go from full health to zero in a situation where your block does not have active frames at all after your opponent's first hit, it just doesn't happen all that often and when it DOES happen, it's kind of an annoyance.

Changing my vote to Warband until Bannerlord is playable for anyone that isn't an archer. Yes, I have pointed out that archer spam can break Warband's multiplayer, though WB's playerbase has enough honor to not spam archers.

If you're talking about a 1v1, you can always block the next attack even if you have been hit first.

I never played Warband. When I look at playthroughs on Youtube it looks like FPS circa Medal of Honor Pacific Assault, or Rome I Total War era. I'm sure for some there are some rose tinted glasses and "I liked their old stuff better than their new stuff" going on, but I couldn't see myself going there.

Wait till you join the archer spamfest that's called Bannerlord multiplayer.
