We’re talking about sound. Imagine you are in the middle of a fight. The rasp of swords being unsheathed, the crunch of sand under the hooves of the horses, the screams and grunts of pain of soldiers – all that can make you feel in the thick of a battle, and that makes sound a very powerful tool for video games. Today we talk with Ugurcan Orcun, our Audio Director, who will offer some insights on how Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord approaches this area and what he is doing for the game.</p></br> [/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/95

Its not a fantasy game, because theres no magic or dragons or chainmail bikinis. They shoould focus on that aspect instead of diluting it with too many different genres.

Keep in mind that it says "Popular user-defined tags for this product".

Anyone can hop onto the Steam store page and add a tag to that list and have it be showcased if enough people add it. The tags aren't official.

A sample of gameplay even if it is of short duration is much appreciated.

The good thing about the blog:
The listening experience has been greatly enriched with all the nuances that appear in the video. Good work Ugurcan.

The bad thing about the blog:

Without counting small modifications in the interface, we are at the same level as the 2017 videos "Horse Archer / Cavalry Sergeant Gameplay"... Lighting, AI, animations, etc...

Unless you're showing us material from "old versions"...I really want to be positive, but guys... I see little progress.

Haha so what? Calradia is fantasy, like Westeros, middle earth or any other number of fantasy realms. I assume you know Calradia never existed. It doesn't have dragons? So? That doesn't make it any less fantasy. Given your propensity for inane swearing, is this Jacobawesome7 by any chance?

Why did the E3 demos look the best, then it's as if the visuals have gotten "worse" from that point. Like something happened to the way it looks ever since the Gamescom footage, it looks off now. Very flat looking like mentioned in an earlier post? Also the way archers are lined up there looks like the earlier footage of the game, some typical alpha look. Then at one point it no longer had that look but now it's back to that, srsly what is this.

What is that moshpit forest battle too? Again, some earlier footage looked way better. I understand that there would be variations in appearance depending on many different factors, but why not present it in the best light then.

It reminds me of Rome 2 where the game always looked fresh on deserts and specific terrain locations, and way worse on others. It looks more like something without any shading/depth, and jaggy.

This has really been bothering me.

Also the sounds do *sound* good, but it's still more short grunts huffing and puffing from the same voice character everywhere you go, and no real exertion sounds with more despair in them etc. The battles all sound like hleurgh hnng oaaa hleeurgh hnng, so basically a more refined grunting of warband..

If your **** sounded like the audio from the announcement trailer, you would have one of the best audio designs ever. I was truly hoping this would be the case ever since I saw that "vid" in 2012, doesn't seem like it's the case unfortunately.

the other one is Multiplayer, where we have slightly different definitions for fighting sounds, aimed for high-level play.
Idk about that either, why not have great audio at the core and use it everywhere. I'm worried this will make MP feel like some separate client/lobby from the main game and not sewn into it like in Warband. Too much Counter-Strike vibes here.

Either way, the way the clips are cut in the audio vid make it seem like it has nothing more to offer than the grunts when we talk about the human sounds.  :meh:

Looking for computer configuration can you play? !
Find the right configuration! ! ! ! ! Great God Answer

My configuration:

Intel i3-4160

MSI h81m-e33

Memory 4G

NVIDIA GeForce GT 740

The above configuration can play horse riding and slashing 2: lord?

Yeah town part video looks like warband with graphic mod...

Rewatching it with headphones, it's clear the sounds are very well done. I think the best part is the sound of the cavalry charge... wow. Imagine being those poor Battanian archers seeing all that cav and hearing them thunder around you.

Sadly again the AI are of concern to me. Something just feels very off. For example why are the defenders just standing in a perfect line doing nothing? It reminds me of the Battanian siege defense where the infantry defending against ladders stand back and let them climb up. No specific order was given to move up a bit, and maybe that's the problem but it shouldn't be necessary.

And of course, they cut the footage before the guy on the wall got to see the full glory of the attackers :meh:

Great blog.  Unfortunately I'm in an office at work and I turned the sound up on the video so I could hear the walking and the blacksmith and then the war horns sounded and I had everyone in the office looking at me .......

I think I'll watch it properly when I get home.

To all the people here with nothing positive to say week after week .... you are all probably correct.  This game is obviously going backwards so it probably isn't worth your time to come here every week.

Eh, I listened to it with a very jaded outlook and glossed over some of the details in the audio. Same story with every blog about this jadedness lol.

Re-watched several times on a big setup, it does give me more hype, and there are actually more drawn out longer sounds there . That's great.
Overall the atmosphere it creates is way way better than Warband no doubt about that. We will see I guess - if this thing ever comes out.
I'll purchase this **** as soon as it becomes available to buy either way.
