So I spent 425 days mostly shutting down Vlandia's usual expansion as a mercenary to get rich on my Sturgian troops only campaign. When you shut down that driving force of change, it seems almost nothing happens. This is the longest I've ever seen the map barely change personally, post-release anyway.
Battania has survived because I helped them smash Vlandia. Sturgia mostly survives because Battania is in Vlandia's way now. They also only have Varcheg because I want it to rebel so I can take it from rebels later. When Sturgia survives they help hold Khuzait in check. I can't explain how the three empire factions have stayed so static but clearly it must be due to Vlandia somehow.
