Are there books in this mod?

I did a search and learned there is a quest reward book that gives +1 shield. But I haven't seen any book sellers in mead halls, although I have learned to read at an abbey

There are 2, it's just that with 42 towns there's not much chance of encountering them.  Where did you hear about a +1 shield book?

The Biblio Vulga? is the only quest reward book I know of.
It gives +1 persuasion, which I would try to increase if I knew how.
There are about 10 or so total books.
A better setup for the game would be to have their costs spread across a range so newer characters can access them earlier.
About 5000 each.

Yeah I've since found the book sellers. I thought the quest reward book was shield but perhaps I was mistaken XD

You earn points toward skills much more quickly earlier, so my preference in using books that add to a point to skill would be to use them when those points become so rare an occurrence that it is likely the only way I will increase those skills.  And by that time I can usually afford any books I need.
