Hate to rain on your parade, but this charade only makes bundt cake unreadable (foroom). I don't find it funny or amusing, and it's really tedious especially for newbies here, at a critical moment of the launch of the game.

I agree. You'd think Taleworlds might see the advantage of people being able to use their forums the day after the release of their latest game. Apparently not...

Apart from that, it's frigging tradition.
Last year the admins were "replaced" by a "raving lunatic", banning/promoting at will, bringing back some long dead accounts from the vaults where those who were perma'd rot.
Some years before that a fake admin board was made public, with "ban lists" and so on.

April Fool's is a common thing, especially online, and this is a relatively mild case at that. Any player that'll be driven mad by one day of foolery is not very likely to be worth much as a forum member in any case, so I'm having a hard time seeing the bad side of this.
