I honestly can't tell if he's joking or being serious.

Dead serious. The guy who's interviewing me had the same infection but he left it for too long and nearly went deaf because of how severe it was. He showed me some images and it looked tumourous. But because of journalistic integrity and all that he can't really talk about himself as part of the report, so he was scouring twitter for people with similar experiences. I just happened to be ranting about the ordeal on twitter at the time.

I've often wondered why I see a lot of close-shaven middle aged men with giant bloody bumps on the back of their heads, and this must be why.

I've never seen nor heard of such a thing in my life. It must be a British thing. Next thing you know, they'll be spreading it onto blankets then shipping them over to the Americas.

Barbers here have next to no specific regulations and I think the guy must've forgotten to disinfect the blade. Could've been worse, at least it wasn't AIDS. It also tends to happen mostly to men with thick hair who shave a lot, so I see it more on black/mixed race or south asian men.

How on any hell imaginable did he forget to disinfect the blade? A naked blade which shaves heads? Here, we have a LOT of bad **** going on, but fortunately, our public health commission(don't know how it's called properly, I just translated as it is in Greek ) reacts pronto on such occasions. They would give him a fine, most likely, and if the client pushed it to court, the guy would lose his barber shop of horrors.

I feel you man, I reckon half of the men here in my place has hepatitis B because barbers here don't even bother to disinfect their blades.

Why wouldn't you shave your own head?

Because Afro-Caribbean and (some) South Asian hair is of a really thick texture, and the actual hairs are quite flat and quite resistant to breaking, so we get separate barbers with specialised equipment. With normal whiteman/chinese razors it either takes ages or hurts like hell because the thing grazes and pulls at the hair rather than cutting it off. Or the hairs are cut at an angle which makes it grow back into the head and pierce the hair follicles.

I find it weird that britain didnt issue a regulation law for barbers to always disinfect their razors and blades. Here there is a whole law for that and ****

Yeah I was discussing that with the interviewer. Apparently barbers get treated like generic businesses and the barbers don't even have to be trained properly. If they're just starting out they practice by giving out discounted haircuts.

Solution: grow an afro. Win win scenario, in my opinion.

That would multiply my problems by several orders of magnitude.

You know jet-bridges, those things one uses to get onto a plane at the airport? They've got a control panel right at the "exit", where the plane connection is, and it's used for moving the whole thing. All of this I knew, but I didn't know that these things ran on Windows XP... I saw one today, and it had the classic black-screen WinXP Professional screen saver.
I never would've thought they'd be using regular operating systems for this sort of thing.

Even god uses it.

I was reading a thread about a known on topic guy dying and everyone hating on him and it make me wonder how i would be remembered here if i passed away.

Not sure i would be remembered in a positive light.
