Help me understand the versions of the game

Its been a while since I've played, I'm completely confused on the versions when I look at the betas. What the hell is "e"1.x.x?
Which one is new version 1.2.9 or version e1.9.0?
And what is the normal stable release version number while were at it?

The current stable version is 1.2.9. You can safely ignore the "e" patches as they are old if I remember correctly

the e1.x.x are early access updates
the v1.x.x are since release
currently the latest is 1.2.9
