[Werewolf] Phonewolf: The Appening - Battery drained - Infected Apps win!

Users who are viewing this thread

Oh, and in case anyone was wondering, I was the Night 3 Doctor at the start of the game, and then when I took over Twinkle, I became the Night 5 Doctor.

Would be interested in hearing who the hell the vigilantes were, other than Brutus.

Roles:

Welcome to my phone, WhatsApp, you are the Night 3 Doctor!

You're a very chatty app - so chatty, in fact, that you can prevent another app from being deleted by calling and having a loud conversation with them during the night! Rogue apps are not going to risk attacking someone when the person on the other line might hear who they are! Unfortunately for you, you are unable to protect anyone until the third night because Overlord Phonemelter needs to get caught up on damage control after a wild night of drunken message sending. "No, Marsha, I don't really love you - I was drunk when I said that. No, wait, don't cry! I didn't mean to hurt your feelings - you are a great friend and all, but... "
Welcome to my phone, MaybeBaby, you are the Night 2 Doctor!

What is a pregnancy app doing on Phonemelter's phone? Well, in order to avoid any unwanted pregnancies with his FWBs, he uses it to track what days they are least likely to get pregnant and tries to hook up with them on those days. You're become so good at predicting when these kinds of events occur that it has carried over into your daily life, enabling you to have a good sense as to when other bad things might occur, such as attacks by rogue apps! You have determined that your greatest chance of correctly guessing when a fellow good app will be targeted is on Night 2, so during that night you may stand guard by the... err... whatever the equivalent of a "room" is for an app of your choosing. How can MaybeBaby protect against an attack you may ask? It's simple! When the evil apps see you standing outside someone's "room," they will assume the other app is, uh, potentially pregnant and therefore not want to risk killing an unborn baby (just assume these guys are Pro-Life or something).
Welcome to my phone, Waze, you are one of the Infected Apps along with Eternal and MaHuD!

In the battle with the fake Flappy Bird app, the virus spread to you. It isn't contagious anymore, but it has caused you to profoundly change - instead of helping Melter find the quickest routes to coffee shops and breweries around the city, you now get him caught in traffic and make him late for Tinder dates! Life is horrible for Melter with such a useless app.

Your team may collaborate during the night and pick out an app to delete. I'll PM the three of you later with your options (QT thread, PM, etc.) and to let you all know about a special mechanic that is in play.
Welcome to my phone, ClearTune, you are the Night 4 Doctor!

As a Very Temperamental tuner, you get angry when the sound effects that other apps make are not in tune - so angry that you have the ability to scare apps into never being out of tune again! Not only will the apps develop perfect pitch, but also become "in-tune" with the universe in general! This enables them to, by the power of the divine cosmos (AKA ME!), detect when they are about to be attacked and hide before it happens. However, it takes a while for you to fully train an out-of-tune app before it develops these powers. During the fourth night, you may choose an app to be protected from an attack.
Welcome to my phone, Pillboxie, you are the Night 3 Cop!

Pillboxie might have been created with older users in mind, but Lord Phonemelter uses it remember when to take his psychedelic drugs!  When you're so drugged up all the time, you sometimes forget when to take your next trip. In addition to managing Melter's drug scheule, you also administer the medical schedules for the other apps. You are highly suspicious of the others and plan on slipping one of them a lethal pill, but this can only happen on the third night as you don't want to risk drawing too much attention to yourself.
Welcome to my phone, Twinkle Twinkle Touch, you are the Night 5 Cop!

Phonemelter won't admit it, but Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is his favourite song of all time, hence why he has such a ridiculous app. Even the other apps make fun of you for being so childish. You're not sure how much longer you can endure all the insults and embarrassment. Hell, you're probably going to snap on the fifth night. If you last that long, you will be able to unleash your rage on another app, permanently deleting them from Melter's phone!
Welcome to my phone, Moose Math, you are the Day 2 Doctor!

Math is an extremely important subject to learn, but Phonemelter never paid attention in class and therefore has the addition skills of a two year old. Luckily for him, he found Moose! Math in the app store and is working his way back towards doing calculus! Melter isn't the only one you teach - you hold night classes for the other apps on Tuesdays and Thursdays! Once an app masters your math techniques, they will be able to solve the equation for precisely when they will be subject to an attack by a rogue app.  This ability, however, requires private lessons to work, which will only be available on Night 2 because you are busy grading final exams this week.
Welcome to my phone, Untitled, you are the Night 1 Cop!

I can't remember why I downloaded you or what function you serve, but you know your life's purpose - to hunt down evil apps! You were written by a programmer to combat the infestation of virus-ridden applications on the app store, but the code is so shoddy that you can only be run once before you stop working. On the first night you can delete an app of your choosing, but are effectively useless from there on out.
Welcome to my phone, Lumos, you are the Night 5 Doctor!

You are Lumos, the Magic Wand app program! Phonemelter loves using this thing to help him find his way to the bathroom during the night, stage fake wizard duels with his friends, and ward off evil demons! The other apps programs would normally be able to take advantage of your magical powers, but Melter used you too much, so it is going to take a couple of nights for you feel 100% again. On the fifth night, you are able to cast a protective spell on another app program, preventing them from being deleted.
Welcome to my phone, Delta, you are the Night 4 Cop!

Your normal function is to manage Phonemelter's flight information and tickets for his travels, but you have also picked up some security tips and tricks from passing through airport security so often. You are able to use what you have learned to successfully delete an app of your choosing, but this can only happen on the fourth night - you know that deleting the rogue apps is important, but you adhere to the "standards" set by airport security of taking forever to get anything done.
Welcome to my phone, Angry Birds, you are the Night 1 Doctor!

This would have sounded a lot less forced if the RGN decided that you should be a cop, but hey, the RGN has a plan for everyone! Anyways, not only do you have provide mindless entertainment for Sir Phonemelter, but you also serve the phone community by providing "guard birds" for apps that need protection! Due to the recent attack by the rogue application you are down to only a couple of birds (RIP angry birds - you [maybe] didn't die in vain!), but you think you have enough to spare to give one more app protection. On the first night, you may choose to protect a player from a night attack.
Welcome to my phone, Tinder, you are one of the Infected Apps along with Xardob and MaHuD!

In the battle with the fake Flappy Bird app, the virus spread to you. It isn't contagious anymore, but it has caused you to profoundly change - instead of helping Melter find girls with low enough self-esteems to sleep with him, you now prevent him from getting him any matches, leaving him a sad, horny little man.

Your team may collaborate during the night and pick out an app to delete. I'll PM the three of you later with your options (QT thread, PM, etc.) and to let you all know about a special mechanic that is in play.
Welcome to my phone, Fake Geiger Counter, you are one of the Infected Apps along with Eternal and Xardob!

In the battle with the fake Flappy Bird app, the virus spread to you. It isn't contagious anymore, but it has caused you to profoundly change - instead of helping Melter in getti- wait a second, you were never helpful in the first place! You have always been a useless, dumb application! Either way, you're infected and are determined to remove the good apps from Melter's phone so you can sabotage his life!

Your team may collaborate during the night and pick out an app to delete. I'll PM the three of you later with your options (QT thread, PM, etc.) and to let you all know about a special mechanic that is in play.

Here's my WW Casino bet - 1,000 points says all of the wolf team's bussing comes back to bite ya'll in the ass and the innocents win!
Xardob said:
Is the Casino still open? I want to place a bet. One of the Vigs will make the village lose this game either tonight or tomorrow by killing Llandy or Adaham.

Sadness

In that case i'll make a bet in the WW casino that the pack is Delta, Xardob and Brutus. Although that is going against my Rule of Eternal.

Next time I'm not gonna second-guess myself. If I'd lynched Brutus/Xardob/Eternal in the order I initially listed them in after I returned, I would have had 2 wolves after 1 innocent.... and maybe poor dead Moose! would still be alive.

Link to wolf chat?

Link to the hate-PMs and death-threats you received after I subbed back in?  :iamamoron:

Success!
Sorry Llandy.
Good job Eternal & Xardob. Was a good run.
Thanks for Hosting Melter, interesting touch with the phone, apps & battery

Vieira and Hawk were the closest with their suspicious iirc.

I suspected Xardob and Eternal, but not in the same "group", so it wouldn't have done any good if one of them was lynched since I would have probably just focused on two innocents afterwards.

Admittedly, I didn't read much of the game.

I probably should have stuck to the original game by using seer-cops instead of vig-cops - might have made the game more interesting. I switched the roles because I wanted to see how much chaos there would be with multiple vigilantes and doctors, but the RGN spread things out too much and only gave me four vigilantes. Might have been for the best, because in such a small game, the game might have ended too quickly if there were more kills.

Also, I did reroll the wolves once, but only because of potential activity reasons and not because I wanted to balance anything. I stand by my statements that intentionally trying to balance the game based on skill makes it less balanced.

Xardob said:
My only worry is that you gave me the two most lynchable players as packmates. I think the town may have an advantage here.
Phonemelter said:
Heh, yeah - I noticed that. It's also three people I normally suspect when I play.  Anyways, it's probably more fair than what I rolled beforehand. I told myself I was only going to roll once, but it came up as Adaham, Llandy, and Twinkie - three people who might not be particularly active, which I did not want.
It's worth it just for the annoying name confusion.
People still think Llandy and I are the same person?

I'm going to ask an admin to change my name to something completely new for the next game. Haters gonna hate.

P.S., your wolf-chat was kinda boring, and I didn't actually spend time doing all that stuff I described. I was just toying with ya.

I'm sure you guys can understand my last throw of the dice, considering you guys lynched me right before I could doctor things.

Y u do dis Adahamster...

Vieira said:
Well, that comes to me with mild surprise. My first, immediate gut reaction was that Xardob is most likely a wolf. I probably need to think it through a little more, though.
Big McLarge-Huge said:
X-man wouldn't have killed Llandy. You just made yourself highly suspicious  :meh:

And then y'all had to go convince me that it was only my paranoia speaking. ****ers.

Now I wish I had gotten round to doing MaHuD research, because my gut proved correct.

Not sure what to make of Brutus' play. Everything he said after I made my case just felt scummy to me. I just wish that he made a convincing case on Xardob.
Please no.  All you did this game was confuse the villagers, including me.
