was asked to escourt wife npc to another city, and get stuck

I picked up a quest to escourt a lady (specfically my character's wife npc)  and I get to the new location and all it gives me are the feast and general stuff and no way to say see you around we're here good bye etc.  So I click "we shall speak later, my wife" hoping that'll get me out of it, I've been spam clicking that for the past 30 mins I can't seem to get rid of her at Yalen and I can't seem to get back to the main screen so I can move on to the next thing.  The only way to get out of that is chat session with the lady/wife npc is to kill mount and blade (alt f4/alt cntrl del and select mount and blade to end task).

This was supposed to be fixed in 1.153, but is likely broken in earlier 1.15x versions.

I am using 1.153, bug still exists.  I had as Rodoks married count reland's daughter Cladestine  ordered to escourt her from Reland's orginal castle to Yelen.  I'll get more specific details when I get the chance to play the game again later on, with exact names, I do not know if that'll help with debugging the bug or not.

What would help most is a savegame where you are about to complete the quest, if you happen to have one.

I have one. I'm just outside of Duqurba and entering it will trigger the bug.

Some notes, not sure if they're relevant:

*I am currently also on an escort caravan quest.
* My trainer bumped my wife to level 3 just before I hit Duqurba.

How do I attach a file?

Thanks. I found the bug link and uploaded my save.

I was trying to find a way to manually edit the dialog on my copy so I could continue with my game, but the .py files everyone lists don't exist on my hard drive. Does anyone have a tempoary homebrew patch .txt file I can download to get past this?

Do we have any idea how long we'll be waiting for an official fix?

Alternatively, is there a save editor that will let me delete the quest? I really want to continue my game, but can't really avoid the major city for the duration of the quest without some repurcussions.

I don't think the specific names matter, since they're just variables in the script (OriginCity, DestinationCity, WifeName, etc.) (not the actual variable names).

You may want to upload a save just outside the destination, though. Another data point can't hurt.

Still having this issue in 1.154, uploaded  save (most recent, hopefully accurate - I play with "realistic" save&exit so it's the only save I have for that game...) to the bug tracker site with new comment/update.

Well , actually , it isn't only save you have. Actually you have in your savegame folder file called ''last_savegame_backup'' ... Try it.. Just rename it to ''sg00'' or ''sg01'' or whatever slot are you using.
