Hey guys

Can you help me to change the loss of morale when I choose to "Lay claim to see all the loot first"? That's the most annoying thing in this game (for me), because even tho I kill most of the heavy and strongest units it's then completely "random" what I get and I don't really like that style.

Thanks in advance!

How to change the -2 morale penalty on "Claim Loot First":

File: menu.txt
Menu: total_victory
Look for this: (use regex search on Notepad++ or Sublime Text)
(5 0 31 2 14\d* 1 1 3 93\d* \d* )(-2)( 1106 2)
Replace with this:
--> the 0 in red is your new value. From -2 morale to whatver you insert there

For 1.04beta patch 2:

menu_total_victory 0 You_shouldn't_be_reading_this..._{s9} none 402 2133 2 1224979098644774912 0 4 0 2133 2 72057594037927936 0 55 1 72057594037927936 30 2 72057594037927936 1166 2133 2 Hey guys

For 1.04beta patch 2:

menu_total_victory 0 You_shouldn't_be_reading_this..._{s9} none 402 2133 2 1224979098644774912 0 4 0 2133 2 72057594037927936 0 55 1 72057594037927936 30 2 72057594037927936 1166 2133 2 Thanks, but that's not what I wanted (I didn't describe it properly). I meant the morale which is calculated after you take the items when you choose "Lay claim to see all the loot first":

Is it possible to change? If not, then I'll give myself about 60-70 morale with the code you posted above

Please edit your post and put the quote as a spoiler. No reason to have it showing up twice in a row (it makes harder to read the thread).

You took too much loot. That option is suppose to be used if you just want to look at the stuff and take 1 or 2 good items. If you take all the valuables, it is the same as if you had chosen to take it all for yourself. That is why the penalty is severe.

How to change the morale penalty on "Claim Loot First" if you are a bastard greedy thief  :

File: menu.txt
Menu: total_victory
Look for this: (use regex search on Notepad++ or Sublime Text)
(2110 2 12\d* 7 1 3 93\d* \d+ )(\d+)( 32 2 72\d* 0)

Replace with:

XX is your fixed value. You will change it from a dynamic value based on how much you stolen from your man  to a fixed number like 10 (loses 10 morale).

More like a lord, who wants to decide which items his troops should get and which shouldn't  If I kill a lot of heavy&strongest units then I deserve the most valuable items, hehe

So thanks a lot for your help, mate! (you are cool guy btw. I've seen your posts all over the forum and I've to say that you are doing a great job!) Now it's the way I like it

And everyone else is of course Ok with that

He forgot to tell us he will spend half the prize on ale as soon as he gets to the next town. The other half will go to the 'happy widows'. Everyone is happy now.

The funny thing is that I took screenshot from tavern and alt-tabed here, so I can use it as my signature and then I've read your comment haha. Also I spent some money on happy widow, so you were right

I know that this was thread for 1.03/1.03beta, but I didn't want to make a new thread (duplicate), because most of the things posted here are still working so.. (-:

Ok guys, here's a few little tweaks for VC, 1.03 beta unless otherwise noted, though many should work fine on later versions, use common sense.

-Yes I'm aware TweakMB will make most of this obsolete when it gets updated. Also the same when VC gets updated.

-Make backups, and use at your own risk (especially in story mode).

TweakMB shoukd work for these things (use Brytenwalda 1.4 template)
-Faction colours
-Honour gain/loss
-Merchants money available
-Mercenary contract length
-Stat loss over 757 days.
-Right to rule for married etc.
-Skill base stat and max level.
-Tournament bets
-Ammo amounts, shots before reloading
-Battle map sizes (could very well cause problems)
-Enterprise stuff
-Bandit party sizes
-Prevent companions from leaving and complaining after battles
-After battle escape chance for defeated lords
-Ransom offer chance
-Morale loss for prisoner recruitment
-Relation loss/gain for various quests/ actions with lords/ladies/towns/villages
-Bandit infestation chance
-Compensation when not awarded a fife.
-Village prosperity gain/loss

It was working fine until update 1.04 beta v4 (rel. date: 27/03/2015). So I would recommend not using TweakMB for 1.04 beta v4 or higher, because it is crashing the game right now (maybe someone can figure out what is causing that?).

Here are some tweaks from TweakMB I've changed manually without using TwMB (if someone is curious and want to change it too):

(be careful if you want to replace everything at the same time, because when you search for number "10" in that file and replace it all with "15", it will also replace "skl_reserved_10" to "skl_reserved_15")

That's pretty much everything I was using via TweakMB, but if you want more tweaks, you can look up here (however those are tweaks for Native Warband):

@tordiato: if you use regex to search/replace you can publish tweaks that should be compatible over new patchs (unless devs change that particular script). You can see some of my tweaks above for a example.

Just a suggestion

Cheers

Yeah, I've noticed that you used regex to search/replace these things in your latest post/tweak in here  I've to learn how to use that first, because I've never used it before. But thanks for the suggestion

Since the last patch has completely ruined the game for me. Could somebody please provide with a way to alter the income from Enterprises? In TweakMB there were a couple of values that could be modified and affected all of them, something like that would be great.

Thanks.

In scripts.txt look for process_player_enterprise. In that section there are 3 instances of 1000. I presume they match up to this bit of tweakMB:

Don't know which is which, try and playing with them and let us know how it goes.

Exactly, what causes this? your game ruined.

Economy mostly. And to sum it all up better I´ll use the sandbox game I was playing in 1.03 when I installed the beta patch to explain it.

I had almost the whole map covered with enterprises, only in two towns in Ireland I didn´t have any business. I was preparing to begin my own Kingdom in Friese and besides my 300 Friesemen (of which 1/3 were high-mid tier and 2/3 were rabble) I had nearly 500 in my hideout getting trained. I can´t remember how much I was paying for all of that, but I remember making between 1800 to 2500 each month. It wasn´t that much but it allowed me to equip my companions from time to time. And I hoped to increase it with prisoners and Dorestad´s income (it was to be my first target) during the war.

Now, I go and install the patch and all hell breaks loose. From making some money to suddenly losing money, even though I had to disband quite a lot of troops from the hideout because it could no longer support them (this didn´t bother me, it was an inconvenience to my plan but it really didn´t make sense to be able to garrison hundreds of men there). My Frisian horsemen´s wages went from 40 something to 60 something!
Then I decided to start the war and use prisoners to compensate. No such luck, prisoners are worthless, you don´t make many of them and slave traders are very hard to find.

Since then I no longer enjoy the game at all. Because of the economy everything else feels slow, unyielding and tiresome.

However, if I could change the enterprises, that would instafix it for me.

BTW...

Danke schön!

EDIT: Found them. Starting a new game, I´ll let you know how it goes.
EDIT2: Seems to be working. Changed the first value from 1000 to 500 and the expected income doubled. Once again thank you very much.

In my game I've quadrupled the cost of enterprises and tripled their income, since they seem absolutely useless otherwise. Best of luck with Friese

Awesome thread! Was looking for a way to edit tournament bets. Will try what i found here tonight. Would like to request two more tweaks;

Allowing horse archery (meaning that bows can be used on horseback)

Editing the cost of upgrading units. Want to change ie. The 700-something dinare to upgrade to highest tier.

How can I change the money I get from pillaging monasteries in 1.04?
