I have done alot of modding whit "Unofficial Editing Tools". I have been making mod whit  "Unofficial Editing Tools" for almost a year now, but now I have finally started using  the module system, and I noticed that it was not as hard as I expected. I have realised two mods now. The first one  http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,131955.0.html a farmer mod is a multiplayer mod. I made it few days. Pro modders would probably think it was piece of cake, but for me it was hard. After I made that one I a ninja mod http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?topic=135993.msg3273210#msg3273210. It was really easy and only took a few hours.

OK, for the benefit of others, is it fair to say:
you were able to complete your mods because you spent about a year, playing around with smaller variations, before you embarked on your first major project?

and yes,

this

applies to M&B modding just as well as to TW modding.  A few technical terms are different, and the software has different names, but the principles are identical.
