On another topic, what does it mean when your emissary returns saying that such and such faction is "too far away to engage diplomatic relations?" It said this about France, my kingdom is in Ireland?

I have to comment on the updated faces for women in revision 275. I have a whole family of artists myself included: While looking more realistic in terms of facial imperfections, there is a complete lack of any of symmetry in the new models which is what any modicum of attractiveness is rooted in. There is not even a vague sense of rounded reciprocal softness which often distinguishes features in the sexes. The men in the mod now have more feminine qualities than the women do. Seriously the women look like an anthropological misstep; a lost backstage set for planet of the apes. Instead of some of them looking like they had been hit by a train before, now they just look like they have dipped the bottom of the barrel gene pool. I don't know a single woman right now that looks that bad! It's not that big a deal, I can learn to change them out myself. I just can't understand why any modders spend time on this with this game? There is little one can do to improve anything noteworthy over native faces. Hope I don't sound rude or come off as a jerk here. Why focus on this when a good portion of the in game models are missing knees?

The error is that every lady in the game looks the same. No matter if Swedish, Italian, North African or Mongol, all look the same, like clones.

Old face: Some scaring from a rough medieval life, perhaps a nasty childhood case of the chicken pocks, that's fine. The face has rounded contours and is symmetrical, it looks like a woman, it's believable. Not all the faces look this way, some of the women look better than others.

mb18z.jpg

New face: All the faces look like this now. Jagged cheek contours, an a-symmetrical shape in general. The eyes are completely disproportionate to the head. Headshrinking has only been documented in the northwestern region of the Amazon rain forest, not in 13th century Bristol England. It's my subjective opinion, so if nobody cares what I think I would agree with that, but I can't play with this LOL.

Did you mix up the pictures or something? When was the last time you saw a woman?

Right, the eyes of most women are 5 times to big to fit their face, do you live on Neptune? Look at the cheek contour, looks like a Pleistocene period Neanderthal, Next argument please. Below are women from the planet earth, look at their features, They are balanced despite the difference in attractiveness in these 2.

I also thought he mixed them up too because the native face is way more natural looking and symmetrical and I would also call that the "old" face. The whole post looked confusing.

I do see what he means now though but I have to disagree with him.

The native faces are far from good but they look natural. There is just something weird about the ones that are in the mod.
Eyes are too small and stick out, forehead is too wide,  the cheeks are very long/tall and the mouth is just cramped together. It just makes most of the females weird looking.

Well it is after all a matter of subjection, as are all aesthetic related things. what I mean't by "old and new" is the "new" faces that were just put installed in REV 275, even though they are native.

We will have to disagree, the eyes of the native females are so out of proportion it's laughable, they look cartoonish. Neither one looks that great, but the ones in the mod as of REV 275 have lumpy crooked profiles, and jigsaw puzzle jawlines. Women have softer features than men,  these profiles look like men.

Here's your date: Look at that chin profile LOL!   that's planet of the apes territory dude, she's ugly like a dumpster fire.

Hey Othr, when I made the Saphet scene, I think I may have forgot to add the entry point for the arena, I made the passage point, but not the entry point. So I suspect people would be placed arbitrarily somewhere when they leave.

Yep sure enough, I forgot about it. Here is the fix.

http://www.mediafire.com/download/f69enk8oq3qtun6/scn_center_saphet.sco

I have ran into this unfinished scene at Tortosa castle.

Also Sicarii Orentis completely stop fighting when their lance/spear breaks, maybe a secondary weapon would fix this.

Thanks Othr for keeping this mod going if there is anything I can do to help let me know, although I'm mostly a total war modder I'm in the process of trying to lean how to mod the campaign map. I have some basic photo shop skills and made this William Marshall banner for personal use
