As i know,There were not so many heavy armor in northern European,They just  had a tough folkway,They just liked using two-handed axes or something...

So,did you just made up it?Maybe you guys should make reference to the real history, but not the fantasy
Scandinavian troops are equipped based on the medieval Scandinavia equipment laws, such as Hirdskraa (Hirðskrá). Most Western European troops are based on some equipment laws. The troop tiers actually represent the different income one had and what minimum equipment he needed to bring in times of war.

Thanks for the criticism, but it's wise to do your own research before pointing it out.

And thanks weeks for the pictures.

well,I just like the perfect 1257,this mod is a good one.
but I still think there were too many heavy armor. After all,it was 13 th century ,as you know
the law was the law

I think the only Archeological finding of Coat of Plates came from a Swedish island, didn't it? So I'm inclined to think Skandinavians had plenty of those  Someone even made an arguament about maille links freezing and becoming stiff and how coat of plates worked better in low temperatures... No idea how much of it is true but..

Also, about Lazyman's post, why would a full leather lamellar barding offer better protections then a maille one with boiled leather head protection?

Because most cavalry did not use horse armour during this period . A maile covering would be better, but ahistorical , imo . At present, all warhorses, whether they be covered with cloth or lamellar and a head plate, have the exact same stats .

BTW mate the only time I have read of mail being used for horse barding is in a Criniere , was it used in the 13th century? I do not know .

True.. most Crusaders' horses would barely have padded, quilted cloth to protect them, I think.. However in 1257 there already was maille covering. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/62625104/otm39ra%26b.gif
See the dying dude's horse. The Morgan Bible is from 1240s ca so I'd guess by 1257 there would start to be a fair share of armoured stallions around

1257 the Mongolia Army heavy armored rate is also high.Because they are from western Xia,Jin,China and the Middle East there plundered large armor.but Zhang Hanguo and Yi Erhan 's style has obvious difference because os the Mongols  local culture influence. But the game did not show. And the soldiers in Mongolia is very difficult to upgrade to the maximum level. Because he needed experience and mortality is the biggest reason

Does power draw affect crossbows also? Ty

no. its the whole point of using a crossbow. i myself have never had a bow character..... lance, sword and crossbow in sieges. why need anything else?

@The Dr and the rest

The 1257 mod is just amazing. I tried switching to some other warband mods for a change, but all of them faded in comparison to the 1257. You guys killed warband for me. Now I have no choice but to wait for the new basket of treats coming with the next subversion.

I dont know whether to praise you or hate you.

Almost done with the new revision. I only need to rewrite one reinforcement script and it will be ready. But I'm drained  for today, but hopefully sometime in the coming weeks time.
