idk maybe i watched too many movies
the current state of executing lords is kinda whacky , you chop one headoff , u go to -100 relationship zone with the entire faction, u leave him as an honorable warrior , comes back to attack your settelements and possibly take your castle if its low on garrison or teir 1 [ which is problamatic ]
but the idea it self sounds better than the current system [dont know if its because early access or this is the main mechanic when its full product]
when you deafet an enemy faction with their noble in their army , you give them the option wether they want to live or not with terms ofcourse that is:
1- they never betray your kingdom
2- join another faction
if they violete any of those terms then their traits become negative values,that way when you execute them , its because you reasoned with them and still dishonored the promise they made
the way to execute them wether one of their wounded soldiers witness this and become a messnger to their kingdom to deliver the messege or make a public execution in town and ask publicly before executing [last chance] for the noble if he joins and what not
that also implies on the player itself unless the lord you got captured on have cruel traits and negative on mercy traits
currently there's a mode that allows you to execute nobles have cruel traits whitout losing any of your traits or relations with others, which is cool atm , but really like that idea of giving them a secong chance
