If many of you aren't already aware - it seems one of the biggest drains on your CPU during larger battles are actually the dynamic shadows that solders have;

Honestly this can change the FPS by 20-30 just on its own. if you are struggling to run large battles on Bannerlord i highly recommend switching down to static only.

However - this is a little frustrating as the absence of unit shadows does look quite weird! What we need is another setting in between these two which retains shadows for soldiers but just gives them a static general black patch underneath them. This would take away a lot of the strangeness while retaining the bulk of the FPS savings.

Alternatively maybe this just needs to be optimised! As I have a RTX2080 and an i7-9900k and still can't run a full sized battle without significant frame drops.
