Post music that you have composed!

Cheers. I'll take a look!

I don't have a controller, so I'll really just be using it on MIDI files I create in GuitarPro etc. I'll use the instruments and just tweak the midi by hand to find something that works.

I'll keep it in mind. Currently got no moneys. What are the two best?

The EWQL Hollywood series are the second best. By far the best orchestral samples are from the Vienna Symphonic Library. They're absurdly over-priced, though. It's $800 just for the solo strings, which don't even include con sordino samples which are another $500. It's about $10000 for the complete pack.

...Yep...seems legit

Don't know if it's true or not - never had the pleasure to make that comparison myself - but a few people've mentioned in occasional conversations about that ****, that what Faradon suggested (Miroslav) is the second best option when it comes to VSTi's, musical libraries or whatever you want to call it.

Still can't wrap my head around the price difference...Even with all the expenses of creating it. That's just...No...

Anyhow...

There's also Edirol Orchestral...Kind of old, and not as good as Mirolsav (...in my opinion), and somewhat pricey for what it is, but I've used it before and it gets the job done. Lots of tweaking with it too though - more or less the same amount as with Miroslav.

But as I said - it gets the job done for the average amateur such as myself, to make them sound decent.

First track I ever made using it

Kinda sloppy here and there, but it's as an example as much as the next thing, I guess. Also, it's 7 years old  Point being, I might've missed an update or twenty that improved it at some point.

There's always free stuff on sites such as this one (at least I think those were free...they were...once...not quite sure about now), but those'd require even more tweaking with the software than I ever cared to do myself.

I know Rejenorst used those quite often in the past and he got decent results out of them...somehow.

Not really sure if he still lurks around, but you could ask for his two cents on those, I suppose. Or you could just try them out yourself.

I read "Porn music that you have composed!" at first glance.
I was disgusted, but also intrigued.

@Geren:

Yeah,  DSK still have free stuff. They also have a HQ pack that you pay for, but a lot of free stuff. I've downloaded a lot and been trying them out.

What do you think about the rhythm and lead guitar tones?

Got some pretty good riffs going on, mixing needs some polishing.

Anyhow, I'm getting pretty good at dubstep. Listen
