They would "like". So it could get delayed if they feel it's not ready.

Loving the cavalry behaviour, they are moving aroud the battlefield striking enemies instead of getting stuck in one place swinging their stick

Not just any archers in front of any cavalry. You have to use the archers to bait an enemy lord off of his hill position.
